If you try to scale a model in two steps (i.e., first check Scale Model and uncheck Adjust Model Markers to scale the model, and then uncheck Scale Model and check Adjust Model Markers to adjust the markers), you will get the following JAVA error:
A java.lang.NullPointerException exception has occurred.
You can easily re-create this problem using the gait2354_simbody.osim model with the subject01_Setup_Scale.xml setup file and doing the scaling in two steps as described above.
I was trying to get the scaling correct before adjusting the markers, so I wanted to do the scaling first separate from the marker adjustment.
Fortunately the simple work around is to leave both boxes checked and then everything works fine. Fortunately I can still do the scaling alone first to get that correct, and then when I adjust the markers, I just keep the Scale Model box checked as well.
