Open Knee funding for next generation models

Open Knee received funding from NIGMS, NIH (R01GM104139). This collaboration with Simbios aims

Open Knee at ISB 2011

Ahmet will be presenting Open Knee's capacity to reproduce passive knee flexion response in the International Society of Biomechanics Congress (July 3-7, Brussels, Belgium). We'll be pleased to discuss Open Knee project details, issues, etc. with any interested party.

Open Knee Release Version Available

This release contains a finite element representation of the knee, related data (mri, geometry, mesh), scripts to generate the model and sample simulation results. Open Knee aims at the development and dissemination of a finite element representation of the knee joint.

Open Knee at ASB

Scott will be presenting Open Knee project in the annual meeting of American Society of Biomechanics (August 18-21, Providence, RI). Ahmet will be there as well. We'll be pleased to discuss Open Knee project details, issues, etc. with any interested party.

Access to Tibiofemoral Joint Model

A preliminary model was implemented in FEBio format (for evaluation purposes and development testing). See https://simtk.org/websvn/wsvn/openknee/src/

Access to Tibiofemoral Joint Mesh

A full hexahedral mesh of the tibiofemoral joint is accessible in the source code repository at https://simtk.org/websvn/wsvn/openknee/dat/msh/. Feel free to download and check quality.

Access to Knee Geometry

IGES files representative of the geometries of knee structures are now available at https://simtk.org/websvn/wsvn/openknee/dat/geo/

Access to Knee MRI

Magnetic resonance images of a cadaver knee specimen is available in Open Knee source code repository, check https://simtk.org/websvn/wsvn/openknee/dat/mri/
