Colleagues -

The OpenSim project at Stanford University, led by Scott Delp and the
Neuromuscular Biomechanics Lab, is now accepting applications for a
Postdoctoral Fellow. Please see the posting information below and forward
to anyone else who may be interested.

Best wishes,

OpenSim <http://opensim.stanford.edu/> is a freely available, user
extensible software system that is used by researchers around the world to
develop models of musculoskeletal structures and create dynamic simulations
of movement. OpenSim is supported by the National Center for Simulation in
Rehabilitation Research
<http://opensim.stanford.edu/about/index.html>, the DARPA
Warrior Web Program<http://www.darpa.mil/Our_Work/DSO/Programs/Warrior_Web.aspx>
and
Simbios <http://simbios.stanford.edu/>, the NIH National Center for
Simulation of Biological Structures.

We are searching for an outstanding individual to study musculoskeletal
dynamics and develop new methods to simulate and analyze human movement.
The ideal candidate will have strong biomechanics research skills,
experience in development of computational methods, and excellent computer
programming ability. Prior experience with OpenSim and a background in
experimental biomechanics, software engineering, controls, metabolics,
and/or design of prosthetics is also desirable.

Interested applicants should:
(1) Send a letter indicating their interest and experience, a CV, and
copies of two representative publications via e-mail to opensim at stanford.edu.

(2) Complete the short online
form<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dFdwOWUyd3BMMklaN3AtOGl1d0ZNaXc6MQ>
.
(3) Arrange for two letters of reference to be sent to
opensim at stanford.eduwithin two weeks of submitting (1) and (2).

We encourage applicants to also send links to software or simulations that
they have developed. The review of applications will begin immediately and
continue until the position is filled.
