Notes:
- Discuss immediate action items from past meetings.
- All action items were related to the recurring agenda items; refer to discussions below.
- In vivo testing progress.
- Experimentation continued as anticipated. Currently 72 subjects have been tested.
- Readiness for in vitro testing.
- The three-dimensional strain system arrived and the team underwent a 2 day training session last week.
- The time delay between Optotrak and force data collection was quantified. It was determined that the first data point in Optotrak is an indicator of time delay (~80 ms), when corrected temporally aligns Optotrak and force data within 10 ms.
- Tyler, Robb, and Tara developed specifications for the in vitro data collection software for instrumented surgical tools. The coordinate systems for the tools were discussed. Ahmet recommended to keep them consistent with ultrasound probe coordinate system, i.e. z-axis along the longitudinal tool axis, outwards/inwards pointing (depending on the selected direction for the ultrasound probe).
- Surgical tool instrumentation is under modification to add divot points, which are currently done by the prototype core.
- The naming conventions for donors/segments/trials were discussed.
- A donor ID will be created to be associated with arms and legs. The donor ID will be assigned when specimens are received.
- The donor ID can be used for the in vitro testing session, i.e. currently the option of choice is to 'resume' testing of 'CMULTIS001-1' for example so donor information is innate.
- Robb and Tara will work on implementation strategies and the team will revisit this discussion.
- Data analysis update.
- Rici quantified registration marker distances for past mock trials and compared imaging based measurements against Optotrak based measurements. She will also evaluate repeated Optotrak measurements from dry mock tests.
- Rici has been establishing the registration marker coordinate system using only three markers. She has started exploring single value decomposition to utilize more than three to increase accuracy.
- Rici updated the wiki with query examples for the data management system.
- Ahmet asked Rici to meet him to discuss adding additional files such as licensing and acknowledgment to be disseminated with the data management system.
Modeling & simulation specifications.
- Ben continued to develop morphing scripts. He is trying to bring his code to production ready for others to test.
- Decide immediate action items for next meeting.
- See Immediate Action Items above.
- Other.
- All ASB abstracts were accepted. Travel arrangements need to be done.
