Notes:

1. Manuscripts update.
   • Tyler has been revising the ultrasound manuscript based on reviewer feedback.
   • No update from journal on the in vivo data manuscript.
   • No update on the extended abstract to IEEE EMBS 2018 on instrumentation of surgical tools.
   • Rici continued filling in sections of the manuscript on in vivo surface stiffness. She will work on the manuscript on tissue thickness measurement comparisons after she completes the aforementioned one.
   • Ahmet still needs to read draft of model assembly paper prepared by Ben.
2. Data dissemination update.
   • Rici and Ahmet met with Stanford University team. Joy will follow up with Tod to ensure readiness of in vitro data management system.
3. In vitro testing status.
   • The indentation probe was manufactured as another surgical too. An additional state was generated in the data collection software.
   • For surgical tool testing, the order of protocols was updated on the wiki and in the data collection software.
   • A dry mock was conducted where all tools and fixtures were digitized. The analysis of this test is on going and the accuracy of the state files has yet to be determined.
   • Overall, the instrumented surgical tool protocols are ready to be executed in a full mock. Pending the results of the dry mock, the software may or may not need updating to reflect accurate state file transformations.
   • Evaluation of tissue testing has been ongoing.

4. Modeling & simulation status.

   • Ben was not at the meeting. Ahmet asked Ariel to arrange a meeting with Ben and himself to discuss modeling end-points.
