  1. Review assigned tasks
    • Ahmet moved the Open Knee Generation 1 both in the wiki and in the source code repository.
    • Snehal started sending meeting requests and assigned tasks to attendees.
    • Snehal started providing meeting minutes and will continue to do so for all prospective meetings.
    • All team members subscribed to relevant wiki pages.
    • Members started deliberating on assigned tasks and update Wiki pages.
  2. Discuss preparation of specifications
    • Ahmet created links on the front page for roadmap, recurring meetings and specifications to provide easy access to major categories of information.
    • Roadmap gives a clear direction about the infrastructure (tools, equipment, software etc), specifications (experimentation, model development, etc.), utilities and models.

    • Specifications should include tools needed, all the steps to achieve the goals, and expected results.
    • Tasks will be periodically reviewed by the team. Specifications are provided publicly. The community can review the specifications as the team builds them.
    • The details of experimentation specifications need immediate attention; imaging, tissue and joint testing, simulation etc.
    • Specification to guide the FEBio team to implement features needed in the project. This should provide specific instructions and prioritize what is immediately required. These will be developed my Ahmet and Jason before the next meeting with the Utah group before October 24, 2013.
    • Stanford team will be provided with an example workflow to prototype cloud computing gateway. Ahmet and Craig will take lead on this to be delivered by November 25, 2013.
    • Once all specifications for experimentation are set, development of utility tools and models will be focused on.
    • Utilities include scripts for data collection, data processing, model development tools, simulation tools, post-processing tools. All scripting will be done using Python.
    • Robotics testing specifications need details. Assigned to Robb, Jason and Snehal. Nov-Dec 2013 should be locked for testing the first knee.
    • Tissue testing specification task deadline was extended to Oct 28th, 2013.
    • Imaging specifications deadline extended to Oct 21st, 2013. Registration can be included in imaging specifications.
    • A request will be made to Stanford group to link the calendar to Google calendar.
  3. Other
    • Open Knee Generation 1 development will be written as a manuscript. Scott Sibole will take a lead on that.
