Notes:

1. Review assigned tasks
   • Ahmet moved the generation 1 Open knee information (both in Wiki and repository).
   • Snehal sent meeting requests and assigned tasks.
   • Snehal updated meeting minutes and will continue to do so for all the meetings in the future.
   • All the team members subscribed to relevant Wiki pages.
   • Members will start deliberating on assigned tasks and update Wiki pages.
2. Discuss preparation of specifications
   • Ahmet created links on the front page for roadmap, recurring meetings and specifications to provide easy access to major categories of information.
   • Roadmap: gives a clear direction about infrastructure (tools, equipment, software etc), specifications (experimentation, model development, etc.), utilities and models.
   • Need to start developing details of all specifications (imaging, tissue and joint testing, simulation etc)
   • Guide the FEBio team to implement features needed in the project. Provide specific instructions and prioritize what is immediately required.
   • Stanford team will be provided with a cloud computing prototype (Ahmet and Craig will take lead on this).
   • Once all specifications are set, development of utility tools and models will be focused on.
   • Utilities : scripts for data collection, data processing, model development tools, simulation tools, post-processing tools.
   • All the scripting will be done in python.
   • All assigned tasks were discussed.
     • Robotics testing specifications: Need to provide details for robotics testing. Assigned to Robb, Jason and Snehal.
     • Tasks will be periodically reviewed.
     • Nov-Dec 2013 should be locked for testing the first knee.
     • Community can review the specifications as the team builds them.
     • Tissue testing specification task deadline was extended to Oct 28th, 2013.
     • Specifications should include: what we need, all the steps to achieve the goals, tools needed and what results will we get.
     • Imaging specifications deadline extended to Oct 21st, 2013.
     • Registration will be included in imaging specifications.
     • FEBio specifications will be developed my Ahmet and Jason before the next meeting with the Utah group before Oct 24th, 2013.
     • A request will be made to Stanford group to link the calendar to google calendar.
     • Craig and Ahmet will work on specifications on intial prototype for XSEDE gateway. Need to be done by Nov. 25th, 2013.
     • FEBio summary update is assigned to the Utah group.
3. Other
   • Open knee generation one development will be written as a manuscript. Scott Sibole will take a lead on that.
