Notes:

1. Discuss immediate action items from the last meeting.
   • Ahmet gave an update on Robb's summary of the Tekscan equilibration trial. This needs to be summarized by next week.
   • The patella marker design is getting finalized. Another candidate design was sent by Mark Lobosky from MDS. The patella marker design needs to be finalized and manufactured.
   • Snehal addressed the requests on the tissue sampling preparation pages. Ahmet asked if anything needs to be done on the tissue sampling page before testing. Snehal requested the team, and specifically Tara for the tissue preparation specifications and the rest of the specimen preparation with Ahmet, to review the whole tissue prep approach.
   • Snehal and Jason found another knee (courtesy of Robb) and it is thawing for today's imaging session. We're not sure of the condition.
   • Snehal looked at the space behind the robot for the vibratome and the Biomomentum machine. It should be adequate if the barstool is used. Everything will be setup and Snehal will evaluate its use for the future. The setup is more convenient but if it is cumbersome, it will be moved downstairs. Robb is okay with this setup.
   • Ahmet sent out the publicity update to the team(Crain's business article and the biomchL entry).
   • Cara explored the “kickstarter” type video. They typically include: who you are, what you're looking for, what the reward is, and a contingency if it doesn't work. Cara will try to have a tentative script written for a promo video for discussion next week or the following. The next question is how to publicize material like this. Options include existing websites such as the CCF news feeds and maybe the department websites. Also, collaborator's websites (Utah, Stanford, Simtk) and resources such as LinkedIN should be considered.
2. Update on anatomical imaging.
   • Details associated with the imaging trial session today were discussed. Comments for the workflow and the file naming were added and need to be addressed. The new Optotrak markers should at least be taped along with the brass fixation screws.
   • The pressing action item is to perform the test session today at UH
3. Evaluation of readiness for mechanical joint testing.
   • Robb should provide an update on the robotics testing setup. An action item was added to reflect this.
4. Update on tissue preparation and testing specifications.
   • This item was already discussed, see above immediate action item from last week. Again, Snehal would like some help in reviewing these sections.
   • Related, Ahmet brought up that we will have a visitor (Elvis, a PhD student from Rami Korhonen's lab in Finland) and he will participate in tissue testing. A knee may be acquired for this purpose. Snehal will likely train him on use of the equipment and he can help with the Open Knees testing. Snehal should order two knees for this purpose, preferably healthy ones. The main goal of these knees is to enable tissue testing.
5. Update on data management approach (to include specimen specific information for recently acquired test specimens).
   • Ahmet proposed that we begin by contributing to the oks001 project page, which will help us to organize the specimen specific page(s). Ahmet summarized a naming scheme that he and Snehal discussed. Snehal also added her thoughts and the naming could include the numbering such as [specimen number, 001]_[4 character tissue]_[4 character tissue location]_[trial number, e.g. 001].

   • A candidate approach will be summarized on the front page of oks001 by Snehal and Craig and the team will discuss. Separate subpages will be added as needed. Related data, including images, etc., was also discussed. Ahmet referred to the file structure approach on the specs related to the InstructionsForSourceCodeRepository page.
