Craig Bennetts 1. Snehal Chokhandre 1. Robb Colbrunn 1. Tara Bonner 1. Callan Gillespie '''Agenda:''' 1. Discuss immediate action items from the last meeting. 1. Discuss pivot shift manuscript development. 1. Decide immediate action items for the next meeting. 1. Other. '''Immediate Action Items:''' * Craig * Put oks007 sample MR images on wiki. * Contact computing services to upgrade computers. * Send example output file with quaternions to Tara. * Find FEBio code to determine order of applied translation and rotations. * Ahmet * Create an account for Callan for Open Knee(s) project site at Simtk. * Snehal * Test tissue samples at 20%/s and 100%/s rates to evaluate testing capabilities. * Continue working on discussion and references for pivot shift simulation manuscript. '''Notes:''' 1. Discuss immediate action items from the last meeting. * Craig and Snehal have been working on troubleshooting the python script to run pivot shift simulations. The script was tested for each degree of freedom first before running the entire pivot shift simulation. The scirpt seems to be working as expected. It is currently set up to run the loading profile with any desired scaling factor. The whole simulation will be attempted this week. * Snehal is waiting for input from Dr. Saluan on the pivot shift manuscript introduction. In the meantime she updated the methods section to accommodate additions by Robb. * Snehal will work on gathering references and build discussion points this week. * Robb, Snehal and Callan worked on troubleshooting issues with Mach-1 tissue testing system. The required loading conditions (loading rate in particular) are not appropriately being applied by the system, even with adjusted gains. Snehal will continue to troubleshoot the system and will contact Biomoentum with a detailed documentation of issues. 1. Discuss pivot shift manuscript development. * The team discussed the model coordinate systems and it's relationship to the anatomically described degrees of freedom (DOF). * Currently, input is in tibia anatomical reference frame relative to femur anatomical reference frame. However, the Open knee generation one model has the moving frame as the femur anatomical frame. * FEBio has only one coordinate system which for this model is set at the initial femur position. * The kinetics (currently in tibia coordinate system) will be converted to be represented in the global coordinate system (coincident with the femur initial position). * See item 1 for additional notes. 1. Decide immediate action items for the next meeting. * Immediate action items were decided and agreed upon by the team. 1. Other. * Robb received a quote from facilities to install emergency alarm systems on the two freezers and will move forward with confirming the installation.
