 1. Update on in situ strain studies.
  * Steve implemented heterogeneous in situ stretches from Dhaher paper using !Preview. He ran simulations in combinations of meniscus sliding/tied and with/without heterogeneous stretch. Steve noted that when meniscus was tied, overall strain were much higher. Ahmet pointed out the possibility of femur rolling over the lateral meniscus when it is tied and stretching the whole ligament more during passive flexion. 
  * Model with tied meniscus with in situ strains completed running in about 1 hour 15 minutes. Model with sliding meniscus with in situ strains was solved in about 2 hours 30 minutes. All simulations were dynamic.
  * The team still needs to decide what to do with the meniscus. The appropriate solution should be between freely sliding and tied settings. Ahmet noted that addition of the transverse ligament to stabilize posterior movement of the lateral meniscus may be needed. In addition, he advised to work with the meniscus properties.
  * Running simulations with in situ strain requires FEBio version 2.3 executable, the in situ strain plug in and the model that Steve has implemented. FEBio version 2.3 will be available at FEBio site soon. Steve will provide the in situ strain plug in and document instructions to conduct analysis on the wiki.
  * The draft of in situ strain manuscript is available. Steve will incorporate simulations with the Open Knee before submission.
 1. Update on other feature implementations.
  * Steve noted that in FEBio version 2.3 parameters can be defined in the input file and the input file can be split. These may be useful features for scripting.
  * Gerard Ateshian implemented the cylindrical joint feature. This will be useful for prescription of joint kinematics/kinetics. Testing of this feature by the FEBio development team is in progress.
 1. Convergence improvements for Open Knee(s) - Generation 1.
  * Craig described the workflow adapted by the Cleveland Clinic team to efficiently explore the role of model and simulation parameters on convergence. Provided the model with in situ strain features, the Cleveland Clinic team will run large scale analysis on in-house high performance computing systems to evaluate improvements in convergence characteristics.
