Immediate Action Items:
- Craig
- Provide sample MR images for oks008 in the relevant wiki page.
- Snehal
Enjoy your wedding in India!!!
- Continue testing all tissue types at 20%/s to evaluate the capacity for a simplified testing scheme.
- Schedule imaging for the remainder of the year.
- Robb
- Email Ahmet to provide feeback on dissemination of oks001 mechanical testing data.
- All Students
- Continue segmentation of specified model features.
- Put mid-term presentations in 'Summer2015/doc/' folder in the repository.
- Update/review image segmentation and geometry generation specifications.
- Connor
- Finish segmenting registration markers.
- Work with Robb to finish registration error estimation script relying on marker distances and angles (patellofemoral marker?).
- Complete definition of springs between tibia and menisci in Open Knee(s) - Generation 1 model.
- Diana
- Continue working with Robb/Tara to complete verification of contact pressure (using Tekscan original files).
- Complete definition of springs between MCL and medial meniscus in Open Knee(s) - Generation 1 model.
- Omar
- Complete definition of springs to represent transverse ligaments between menisci in Open Knee(s) - Generation 1 model.
- Raghav
- Complete features for removal of artificial thickness measurements.
- Start learning FEBio for future implementation of springs to represent additional structures.
Ongoing Action Items:
- Ahmet
- Dissemination of joint mechanics testing data.
- Prepare flowcharts to describe data flow for pre-processing of joint kinematics/kinetics data.
- Craig
- Anatomical imaging manuscript.
- Large-scale analysis of simulation parameters for convergence.
- Snehal
- Continue interacting up with Biomomentum, Inc. about mechanical testing system tuning features.
- Complete the additional structured testing plan for tuning the system for different sample sizes, strain levels and strain rates.
- Pivot shift manuscript.
Cruciate ligament modeling & simulation.
- Evaluate alternative tissue testing strategy.
- Robb
- Patellofemoral joint experimentation manuscript.
- Tara
- Tibiofemoral joint experimentation manuscript.
Notes:
- Discuss immediate action items from the last meeting.
- Snehal saw strange rise in force for tension testing after applying displacement (20%/s); discussed possible timing issues with Robb.
- Robb performed post-experiment calibration for pressure sensor (600 N applied, was measuring 490 N, 5 weeks post experiment).
- Diana segmented all structures for oks001.
- Diana worked with Tara to get Tekscan data for pressure sensor.
- Omar segmented half of the bones in oks001.
- Omar discussed FEBio and springs with Raghav.
- Omar completed defining springs for the transverse ligament (900 N/mm = 3 parallel springs x 300 N/mm); convergence was 82 steps for tension-only springs (was 76 steps for non-tension-only springs).
- Connor segmented all registration markers and worked on registration error script.
- Raghav took pictures with Snehal to determine best background/lighting for image-based tissue thickness measurement.
- Raghav found there was a 10% error for image-based method with respect to the LVDT measure system results.
- Decide immediate action items for the next meeting.
- See Immediate Action Items above.
- Other.
- Follow-up: Ahmet previously asked all mid-term presentations to be put in 'Summer2015/doc/' folder in the repository.
