- Discuss progress of tissue testing protocol evaluation.
- Discuss potential publications.
- Decide immediate action items for the next meeting.
- Other.
Immediate Action Items:
- Ahmet
- Disseminate the remainder of joint mechanics testing data.
- Prepare flowcharts to describe data flow for pre-processing of joint kinematics/kinetics data.
- Contact Carl Winalski to discuss cartilage grading.
- Craig
- Continue meshing of Open Knee(s) - Generation 1.
- Snehal
- Contact editor of Scientific Data to assess suitability of Open Knee data for publication.
- Order specimens from Anatomy Gifts Registry, another specimen supplier.
Ongoing Action Items:
- Craig
- Anatomical imaging manuscript.
- Large-scale analysis of simulation parameters for convergence.
- Snehal
- Pivot shift manuscript.
Cruciate ligament modeling & simulation.
- Robb
- Patellofemoral joint experimentation manuscript.
- Tara
- Tibiofemoral joint experimentation manuscript.
Notes:
- Discuss immediate action items from the last meeting.
- Ahmet will disseminate the remainder of joint mechanics testing data.
- Craig is attempting to mesh the joint geometry using Salome.
- Snehal contacted Anatomy Gifts Registry for remaining specimens and will put an order this week.
- Snehal noted that uniform tissue sample preparation is already documented. In the coming weeks she will go over all tissue related specifications and edit the wiki pages as needed.
- Discuss progress of tissue testing protocol evaluation.
- Measurement of inertial and fluid forces for tissue testing were discussed. Details will be documented on the relevant wiki page.
- Craig and Snehal will work on the zero position assessment.
- Snehal will work with the prototype core to build optical thickness measurement system (OTMS). She will work with the prototype shop of the Cleveland Clinic for the camera mounting system. A new macro lens is needed and should be purchased. The team also needs to consider a way to attach light source. Ahmet recommended using 80/20 to built a frame for assembly of all the parts; camera, sample platform, lights, etc.
- Discuss potential publications.
- Snehal will contact the editor of Scientific Data to assess the suitability of our data manuscripts for publication.
- Decide immediate action items for the next meeting.
- See Immediate Action Items above for details.
- Other.
- Imaging sessions are booked for November and December. The process for scheduling of the imaging facility has changed. More lead time is now necessary to reserve time.
