- Ahmet disseminated joint mechanics data for three specimens: oks001; oks002; oks006.
- Ahmet informed the group about specific data missing in oks003 and oks007 folders in the in-house data management system.
- Craig provided documentation of meshing workflow. Snehal will test it.
- Snehal talked to Anatomy Gifts Registry and learned that it will take some time to receive young specimens.
- Snehal identified a smaller framing system similar to 80/20 for building the optical thickness measurement system frame. It was ordered and will be delivered this week.
- Discuss potential publications.
- Snehal received information from Scientific Data regarding the suitability of the Open Knees data for publication. One option is to have a large paper including all the data. The other is to submit multiple papers simultaneously for theme based review.
- Ahmet recommended three parts for first submission:
- Part 1: imaging
- Part 2: tibiofemoral joint testing
- Part 3: patellofemoral joint testing (Part 2 and Part 3 may need to be combined together later)
- The discussion will continue to decide on how to present the tissue mechanical testing data. It may be divided based on tissue types for separate publications or may be submitted as one set depending on the kind of data assessment/analysis added.
- The team went to Scientific Data manuscript outline to discuss individual components.
- There is no conflict in uploading to their site, e.g. Dryad even though the data is being disseminated on Simtk. The Simtk dissemination will be an evolving process which will eventually include the analyses whereas, the Dryad can be a mirror for the data set as it is published.
