'''Notes:''' 1. Discuss immediate action items from the last meeting. * Craig was not available this week. His action items will be reviewed in the next meeting. * Snehal continued testing sample tissues to evaluate tissue testing protocols. She still needs to compile the results of tissue. She devised a new strategy for cutting uniformly shaped samples using a straight edge razor. She aligned the articulating side of the cartilage on a vertical surface and chopped off the bone side with the razor. In following, she used the vibrotome to get a uniform thickness layer at the articulating side. Ahmet suggested her to discuss similar strategies with George Muschler's research group at the Cleveland Clinic, who may have relevant experience. Snehal's goal for the upcoming week is to complete evaluation of tensile testing. Test and retest should provide similar results, i.e. same modulus for the same tissue sample. Procedure and process variations need to be controlled to see if a conclusion on damage of the test sample need to be made. Snehal also conducted tests on foam samples; she needs to review the results. * In response to Ahmet, Robb mentioned the precision of the LVDT tissue thickness measurement system. The sampling noise is about 0.1 um. * Jason is still working on background for PTFJ paper. * Robb evaluated the patellofemoral joint contact pressure created for all specimens by concatenating all images across quadriceps load and flexion angle. There were some unit inconsistencies in labeling. Robb will work with Craig to discuss these issues. The group also decided on aggregation of contact pressure images for the manuscript and documented detailed captions in the manuscript document provided in source code repository. Robb will work with Craig to regenerate collated images, i.e. across specimens and with different loading, possibly represented in the same color scale. * The group worked on the figure and table captions for the tibiofemoral joint manuscript. These were documented in detail in the manuscript document provided in the source code repository. Tara will follow up with these. All kinematics-kinetics data will be represented in the digitized anatomical coordinate system. Passive flexion images will be removed from the paper to prevent confusion. * Ahmet reminded the primary authors to get the involvement of surgeons and physicians following the completion of rough drafts. Jack Andrish can be involved with the patellofemoral joint testing manuscript; Morgan Jones and Paul Saluan with the tibiofemoral joint testing manuscript; and Carl Winalski and Morgan Jones with the anatomical imaging manuscript. Authorship will be decided upon based on the criteria by International Committee of Medical Journal Editors. 1. Continue evaluation of drafts for data manuscripts. * See relevant notes in the discussions of immediate action items from the last meeting. 1. Decide immediate action items for the next meeting. * See Immediate Action Items above. 1. Other. * None noted.
