Notes:
- Discuss immediate action items from the last meeting.
- Most action items were related to the ongoing agenda items; refer to discussions below.
- Discuss progress of tissue testing protocol evaluation.
- Snehal tried not soaking the meniscus sample during testing. Multiple repeated tests were not fruitful as it was hard to keep the tissue hydrated in a consistent way.
- Snehal is confident with cartilage testing. She is planning to do a cartilage tensile testing for additional repeatability assessment.
- Ahmet advised to implement pre-conditioning data assessment as part of the protocols to continue testing. He asked Snehal to update the tissue testing protocol in this regard.
- Snehal continued exploring different punching options. She is favoring manually preparing rectangular samples for the meniscus. She will get confined compression chambers made. She needs to design a jig for cutting the sample. Ahmet also recommended freezing the sample before punching out a cylindrical sample.
- Discuss segmentation progress.
- Tara and Robb will be working other projects starting January 2017. They may not be able to do additional segmentation. Some of their students will likely contribute.
- Decide immediate action items for the next meeting.
- See Ongoing Action Items above.
- Other.
- Snehal proposed to decrease meetings to once a month. This will be implemented starting January 2017. She is also planning to provide weekly updates in the wiki and through e-mail.
