Biweekly Meeting of Cleveland Clinic Core Team
Date: April 12, 2018
Time: 10:30 AM EST
Means: In person meeting
Attendees:
- Ahmet Erdemir
- Snehal Chokhandre
- Erica Neumann
- Ariel Schwartz
- Benjamin Landis
Agenda:
- Discuss Open Knee(s) progress.
- Discuss joint data extraction to run Open Knee models.
- Discuss Knee Hub progress.
- Other.
Notes:
- Open Knee(s)
- Snehal completed draft for MRI data manuscript for Ahmet's review. Ahmet reviewed the manuscript. Snehal will edit the manuscript and send it to all the co-authors.
- Snehal will arrange a call with Joy to discuss MRI data dissemination (static copy for manuscript) and DOI creation.
- Snehal completed all segmentation and all geometries except oks002 and oks004. All files are in the repository. Snehal will link them all on the Roadmap wiki page.
- Snehal will complete progress report for the upcoming advisory board meeting.
- Snehal will also provide a figure with all geometries to Ahmet for the NIH progress report.
- Rici has updated python scripts to extract joint mechanical testing data. The scripts work for both patellofemoral and tibiofemoral joint data extraction and can accommodate both left and right knees.
- Ben recommended using the same version of Salome that he used to develop the geometry generation and model assembly pipeline. Snehal will start testing the scripts once she has the right versions of softwares installed.
- Knee Hub
Specification writing for KneeHub was discussed. Ariel will only include the actual steps used in segmentation and geometry generation (and subsequently modeling). These specifications will be ported to Open knee(s) and all supporting information will be moved to related discussion pages.
- Ahmet will meet the co-investigators on April 23rd mainly to discuss the model development phase which involves the development of initial working knee models by each team.
- Other
- Ceylan submitted an abstract to the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America. The abstract focused on the radiological evaluation of all specimens.
- A potential project for the summer intern will be to obtain the proximity map between the bones (to obtain a potential contact map) using python scripts developed by Rici to animate the tibia-femur motion. May also include calculating ligament length changes. The goal is to get contact map and ligament length changes without FEA.
