Open Knee(s) Utilities

Versioning

Releases of Open Knee(s) utilities rely on the following version numbering scheme:

Version version.major.minor.revision

version
numbering based on goals of the roadmap
major
implementation of a new feature
minor
improvement of a feature or a bug fix
revision
revision number of the subversion repository on which the release is based on

For example, Open Knee(s) Utilities Version 1.0.4.346.

Open Knee(s) Models

Versioning

Releases of Open Knee(s) models rely on the following version numbering scheme:

Generation <#> Specimen <#> Version version.major.minor.revision

version
numbering based on goals of the roadmap
major
implementation of a new feature
minor
improvement of a feature or a bug fix
revision
revision number of the subversion repository on which the release is based on

For example, Open Knee(s) Generation 2 Specimen 4 Version 2.1.2.986.

Roadmap

Open Knee(s) Generation 2 aims at six knee joint models representative of young & elderly, male & female, and healthy & osteoarthritic. The roadmap to accomplish the development and evaluation of these models will not follow any particular order of any speciment-specifics:

  • Specimen 1
  • Specimen 2
  • Specimen 3
  • Specimen 4
  • Specimen 5
  • Specimen 6

Within each specimen, versions are targeted to delivery of following milestones:

  • Version 0.1: Anatomical data

  • Version 0.2: Joint mechanics data

  • Version 0.3:Tissue mechanics data

  • Version 0.4 and above: Various model generation steps

  • Version 1.0 and above: Working knee joint model (tibiofemoral and patellofemoral)

  • Version 2.0 and above: Evaluated knee joint model (correspondence of predictive capacity against experimental data)
