I just wanted to let you know the confluence support website seems to be down.
Thanks.

Re: force validation
Rui Xu,
That is correct, these are the medial and lateral vertical contact forces which act along axes parallel to the y-axis of the tibial tray.

force validation
Dear Professor D'Lima, I am a PhD student and want to validate the model using the Grand Challenge data, but I am not clear about the measured result of the medial and lateral force. Is the force calculated from the sensors using the equation you provided the joint compressiong force, excluding joi...

Re: Medial and Lateral Contact Forces
Colin, The regression terms F_ML, F_SI, and M_VV are the same as the terms Fx, Fz, and Ty provided in the contact force data CSV files, and in the eTibia coordinate system. Also notice that the coordinate system for the eTibia is the same for a left knee and a right knee. If implanted in the right k...

Re: 2nd Competition calibration Trials GRF
Felicia,
The ground reaction forces were not collected for the calibration trials of any of the data sets. The calibration trials were for estimating the functional axes of joints which only require marker data.

Re: 6th Competition: Knee Implant
Priti, The implant was based on a Zimmer Natural Knee II design. The femoral component was stock. The tibial tray was modified to accommodate all the instrumented knee electronics. The tibial insert was 9 mm thick. You might have to use the geometric models to get mass properties. You might also hav...

Re: 6th Competition: Ligaments
Priti,
I'm sorry about the delay. I was double-checking my answer. All subjects had only the ACL removed.

Ilan Eskinazi

Re: X-Ray Scan Resolution
Dear Priti,
I'm sorry but we don't have that information. They were not digital x-rays.

Re: X-Ray Scan Resolution
Dear Priti,
I'm assuming you are referring to the CT scans. The readme files in the "Raw CT Data" under the "PreOp" and "PostOp" folders contain that information.

Re: 6th competition:Markers
Dear Priti,
Download the raw motion data and search for .avi files. There are some movies that show the marker locations. Photos and videos from all competitions should also help since the markers were always placed in the same manner for all subjects.
