Does OpenSim account for joint friction?
Hello everyone, Does OpenSim consider friction between joints? If so, are there parameters that can be adjusted, such as friction coefficients or other mechanical properties related to joint friction? Also, does OpenSim offer any support or recommended approaches for modeling friction effects in con...

Re: Questions Regarding Wait Time
Thanks a lot! I got the results now! So is there any possible reason for this problem?antoinefalisse wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 2:07 pmWe restarted your trials, please check back in a few hours.

Re: Questions Regarding Wait Time
Processing time (ie, the time it takes from yellow to green) depends on how busy the servers are. If the queue is short then your trials should be processed quickly, but if the queue is longer because many people have been using OpenCap and uploading trials then it can indeed take much longer (20mi...

Re: How to extract ground reaction forces from OpenCap trials?
Hi, 1. To estimate GRFs, we attach contact spheres to the feet of the model. We use 6 spheres per foot. Each sphere produces forces. The resultant forces are the forces resulting from all six spheres. 2. You can use the kineticsOpenSimAD class for that. See this example https://github.com/stanfordn...

Re: Processing for a long time
Hi, Processing time depends on how many people are using OpenCap and how long the queue is. It might take a while if it is very busy (it often is these days). yes that means it is still processing. best, Antoine So is there a time limit in the processing time? I even could not pass the neutral pose...

Re: Problem with iPhone13Pro
Hi, I tried to use OpenCap with an iPhone12Mini and an iPhone13Pro (both IOS 17.1.1): the video-upload of the calibration for the iPhone12Mini works well but the one of the iPhone13pro is not possible. After pressing the button for starting the calibration the phonescreen is getting some kind of fo...

Re: Issue - long calibration time
Hey, 1) This step has been automated. It is normal not to see the axes anymore. 2) It should only take a couple of minutes. I had a look, and it looks like one of your phone disconnected. As a result, only one video got uploaded. Best, Antoine How to see whether the phone is disconnected? Thanks fo...
