Hi Lauren,
You just have to use the manual scaling in the scale tool (Scale Factor tab)
http://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:80 ... ling+Works
(If you don't have any marker at the model, the option Adjust model markers has to be unchecked)
hope it helps

Re: Estimating muscle power from static optimization results
Hi James, thanks I'll work on those options, but i still have a question. I don't know if I understand right, when you say: You do have acouple options here. As StaticOP gives you muscle forces and velocities you could calculate manually. are you refering to the muscles contraction velocitie ? If so...

Estimating muscle power from static optimization results
Hi all, I'm trying to estimate muscle power using the results I obtained from a static optimization analysis and I was planning to use muscle analysis in the Analyze Tool. Is there any way to use this with static optimization results? It seems to me that if it was possible, as the Static Optimizatio...

Re: Net Joint Reaction Forces
Hi , Thanks to James's help I could figure how to obtain the Net Reaction Forces (the one resulting from the Inverse Dynamic, not from static Optimization analysis), and as some details may not be so obvious sometimes, I'll post the procedures I followed in more details: Basically I followed the sam...

Hi Joe,
I think it is the instantaneous joint location location.

Re: Error 'estimating joint loads in OpenSim' tutorial/examp
Hi Joe, goes at your foot_floor_load.xml file and edit <datafile> C:\Users\matt\Desktop\webinarDemo\subject01_walk1_grf.mot </datafile> <external_loads_model_kinematics_file> C:\Users\matt\Desktop\webinarDemo\subject01_walk1_Kinematics.sto </external_loads_model_kinematics_file> with the correct dir...

Re: Change location of a joint
Hi Mirian, It is possible to change the location of your joint using OpenSim. You have just to modify the values on your .osim file representing the model. you can do this using a xml editor : http://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:8080/display/OpenSim/OpenSim+Models#OpenSimModels-Joints or you can us...

Re: Net Joint Reaction Forces
Hi James, Some days ago a tried something in this direction but I don't know if the procedures are right. What I tried was to use de analyze tool with the same inputs as the SO but using the option "Replace models force set" to replace the muscles for torques (and point for the translational DOF) ac...

Re: Net Joint Reaction Forces
Hi James, Thanks! but the problem is that the Inverse Dynamics tool does not provide the forces I'm looking for (or maybe I don't know how to get them). It gives me the net joint torques at each joint but not the net joint reaction forces. To get the Reaction Forces I use the Joint Reaction analyses...

Net Joint Reaction Forces
Hi all,
I'm trying to compare old results with some new obtained with opensim and for that I need to obtain the "net joint reaction force", I mean the net forces I would obtain from Inverse Dynamics, without considering the individual muscle forces.
Is it possible?
Thanks
Maria Isabel
