Re: Model conversion from OpenSim4 to Hyfydy
Cheers for the help so far Thomas. The model is almost up and running, my next question relates to the joint system. The issue I am having is although when I import the model the parts are in the correct position Screenshot 2021-09-04 172815.png when I hit evaluate some of the parts move out of posi...

Re: Model conversion from OpenSim4 to Hyfydy
For future references, if anyone is searching how to make closed kinematic chains this is the structure for the joint that closes the loop. The key point being the second joint is in line with the body. body { name = obj6 density = 1000 geometry { type = box dim = [ 0.04 0.5 0.04 ] } joint { name = ...

Re: Model conversion from OpenSim4 to Hyfydy
Perfect! Thank you very much! As I have been working through the text file I have come across what is probably a syntax issue. For a body you can set the pos_in_parent, is it possible to set the orientation as well? I tried using ori_in_parent like this but it has not had the desired effect. body { ...

Re: Model conversion from OpenSim4 to Hyfydy
That is correct. So a joint would definitely be much easier yes! I shall implement that in the hfd file I am editing and look forward to trying it out!!

Re: Model conversion from OpenSim4 to Hyfydy
I am looking at exoskeleton design where the ankle joint is effectively used as the end of a closed kinematic chain. I achieved this in OpenSim4 using the PointLineContraint between the exoskeleton shank body and the calcn body. The offsets were done so that the constraint lined up with the ankle jo...

Re: Model conversion from OpenSim4 to Hyfydy
Thank you for your response. I will have a crack at it myself and send an email if I get stuck anywhere. I will directly apply the changes to the .hfd through the text editor. The main question I have for the hfd format, does it support PointOnLineConstraints? and how would I go about adding that to...

Model conversion from OpenSim4 to Hyfydy
Hi Thomas, Thank you in advance for your help. I am trialling the hyfydy licence and am excited to see what it can do. I am trying to convert my model to the correct format using the conversion tool built into SCONE. The model I am hoping to run is built on top of the H0918M in OpenSim 4. Unfortunat...

Metabolic energy expenditure from EffortMeasure
Hi, Thank you in advance for answering my question. Having run an optimisation with the EffortMeasure in the analysis window there is the option Effort.penalty (Example Gait - H0918 - OpenSim4). I was having a look at the effort measure and was wondering if you could clear this up for me. Is "Effort...

Run error
Hi, I tried changing the background of the viewer to white to use screenshots in a presentation. The issue occurred when I later came to open SCONE. I got the following error: Could not read setting "viewer.background" (invalid stoul argument) I have tried reinstalling the SCONE but it has not helpe...
