Re: Plotting Muscle Fiber Length and Force outside Opensim

Hi Ali, When I compare the "total fiber forces" to the "tendon forces" in the opensim environment they are not necessarily the same (depending on the muscle I am looking at). I figured this had to do with the definition of the pennation angle...is this correct? What do I need to specify in my .xml f...

Plotting Muscle Fiber Length and Force outside Opensim

Hi all, I am running CMC to try to understand muscle forces and length changes in different experimental conditions. I found that you can look at muscle fiber forces and lengths separate from the tendon, in the Opensim environment. I was wondering if this data was stored in any output file that coul...

Re: Applying External Forces/Torques from a device/exoskelet

Thank you, Dominic!

I actually implemented something very similar to what you suggested. I just added equal and opposite torques applied to the tibia and calcaneus to the external loads file.

Best,
Rachel

Applying External Forces/Torques from a device/exoskeleton

Hi! I was wondering if anyone knew how to add an additional torque applied from an external device, such as an ankle exoskeleton? In our experiments, subjects wore an ankle exoskeleton that applied plantarflexor torques about the ankle and I wanted to add this into my OpenSim model so the resulting ...
