Re: OpenSim Teaching Materials Public Forum

Thanks Andrea for fixing the .osim file for version 4, may I ask what did you do exactly ? I now have problems running the forward analysis *from the project files, since I get the hip moving instead of being fixed. How can I correct this problem?

Re: Cycling simulation

Thanks for the suggestions. I found an interesting project: Examining Muscle Forces and Joint Loads in Osteoarthritis (OA) while cycling. But, being private I believe it is impossible to view.
The FES looks quite difficult to start with.

Re: Cycling simulation

Has someone done or knows of a cyclist model that can share?

Cycling simulation

I am trying to simulate the lower limbs of a cyclist in openSIm *considering the movement in 2D). The first thing that I am not sure about is the best way to model it: should I add a body for the crank and also pedals (or they are not necessary)? Is a pointConstrain between the calcaneus and the cra...

Re: Inverse dynamics with no external reaction forces

Sorry, you are right obviously. ID will be able to calculate joint moments even if there are no reaction forces?

Inverse dynamics with no external reaction forces

Hello, I made a simple example using the arm26 model and after running a IK simulation of a bending arm, I wanted to check the muscle effort involved in it, just due to the gravity (so without any external reaction forces) so I run a ID simulation with no external forces file selected. In the plotti...

Re: Learning how to use command line from terminal

Thanks very much for the patience and I am sure that soon we will find the solution to my confusion. I think that I am doing some other kind of error when trying to launch a inverse dynamic simulation from terminal: opensim-cmd run-tool Documents\OpenSim\4.0\Models\Gait2354_Simbody\subject01_Setup_I...
