ContactSphere and ContactMesh interaction?

Will a contact sphere and a contact mesh interact with one another? I've seen examples (https://simtk.org/plugins/phpBB/viewtopicPhpbb.php?f=91&t=11426&p=31820&start=0&view=) where a contact mesh and a contact half space interact, but I am unable to reproduce the same results for a contact mesh and ...

Training LSTM for different motions

Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to the concept of using LSTM networks to augment the set of 3D keypoints... I'm trying to understand how I could train a new LSTM model for this purpose to look at a different set of motions that isn't currently supported in OpenCap (read: motions that the current iterati...

Re: GRFs applied twice in Joint Reaction Analysis?

Mohammadreza, Thanks for the explanation. This makes sense. I had tried running the analysis without external loads, but I hadn't tried removing the GRF columns from static optimization like you did. I agree with you that it looks like the analysis does not consider the GRF columns in the "force_fil...

GRFs applied twice in Joint Reaction Analysis?

Hello everyone, I've been performing some Joint Reaction Analyses following the workflow outlined in the webinar (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ly4rhOOifO0) and the online documentation (https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:8443/display/OpenSim/Joint+Reactions+Analysis). I want to make sure I'm d...

Re: High residuals CMC Catelli Model

Hi Nathan, It could be that your model is poorly scaled - i.e. that the mass/center of mass/inertial parameters of bodies in your model are incorrect. I've run into this issue before and a more properly scaled model almost always helps lower the residuals. Another thing to think about would be addin...

Duplicate column labels encountered

Hello everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has seen/fixed this issue before: I'm trying to use the "Associate Motion Data..." tab to add a marker.trc file to my IK results to visualize my experimental markers relative to my model markers. However, this isn't working, and I'm getting the error: "filenam...

Antagonistic co-contraction in CMC?

Hello, I have some data for a fairly deep squat that I am trying to simulate using the Catelli model by performing RRA followed by CMC. With RRA, I am able to get my residuals, rotational errors, and translational errors within the recommended values for walking and running, so I have moved on to CM...

Re: Correcting a weak model for Static Optimization

Hey John, I will look into the fiber velocity assumption for our case and report back. With respect to the hip abductors, even when updating the muscle paths, I still get some strange results. Specifically, the normalized fiber length of the tfl is very short. I wonder if you have encountered a simi...

Re: Correcting a weak model for Static Optimization

Hi John, Thanks again. Are you using Static Optimization for squatting/ other high flexion tasks, or are you using a higher vmax for some other movement? I thought the wrapping problem may be an issue as well, but I am scaling all of the bodies uniformly, and I looked into it in my scaled model and ...
