Re: Muscle-Force-Direction plugin
Also, you can check the visible objects and see whether there is any additional transformation that is applied to the nodes of the geometry. Thanks Dimitar it was quite helpful. But I need more accuracy. "Show axes" shows you location of local frame graphically while its origin is deep in the bone ...

Re: Muscle-Force-Direction plugin
In the manual of the plugin, it is mentioned that you can choose where to express the positions and forces either in local body frame or in global ground frame. Hi Dimitar Let me be more clear, in case of femur, where exactly is the local reference system's origin placed on the bone? How are the x-...

Local coordinate system
Hello everyone Setting MuscleDorceDirection plugin on local coordinate system gives you constant values for muscle origin/insertion coordinates which are independent of time. Also it gives you varying muscle force directions with respect to time. The question is, what are the location and orientatio...

Scaling
Hi everyone
I have just a Femur bone 3D model derived from CT scan files and nothing else.
How can I scale OpenSim Generic model to this bone?
(Afterwards I gonna extract muscle forces acting on this by using MuscleDorceDirection plugin for my research)
Thanks

Re: export .msl and . jnt files from OpenSim to Abaqus
Hello, OpenSim does not create jnt or msl files, these were made by another third party software package (SIMM) that we supported many years ago, and we stopped supporting this format since version 4.0. -Ayman HI Then how can I import the mentioned properties to Abaqus? The bone geometry, muscle fo...

export .msl and . jnt files from OpenSim to Abaqus
I wanna do an analysis in Abaqus and need to import femur bone geometry, surrounding muscles, and their forces and directions.
I used the MuscleForceDirection plugin but the question is how can I import .msl and .jnt files to Abaqus to have the mentioned properties there in Abaqus?
