Inverse Dynamics Set Up With AFO
Hello there, I wanted to use the Inverse Dynamics tool to determine the ankle moment during walking with an orthosis. Herewith, I've imported an AFO to the model gait2354_simbody and attached its cuff to the tibia through a weldjoint and its foot to the model's foot through a weld constraint. Now, w...

Re: Effect of Point Constraint in kinematics of the ankle
Hello Ayman, thanks for the response. The two bodies are the AFO_foot and the toes of the left foot of the model. After extensive try and error, the points that best defined visually were the mass center of the calcaneus the gait2354 model and a changed mass center of the AFO foot. If I defined the ...

Effect of Point Constraint in kinematics of the ankle
Hello, I have inserted an AFO with a self-align mechanism that is fixed to the left foot of the gait2354 model by a Point Constraint defined in the toes. Then, I ran the Inverse Kinematics tool, one with the Point Constraint enabled and other with this constraint disabled. The figure attached next s...

Re: Error caused by WeldConstraint
I wanted to know the effect of the AFO on ankle moment. However, I only have access to the gait2354_Scale_MarkerSet.xml and subject01_walk1.trc files in the gait2354_Simbody folder. The ankle moment I am talking about is the one in the .sto files generated by the Inverse Dynamics tool. Can you enlig...

Re: Error caused by WeldConstraint
Thank you for your fast answer first of all. I wanted to assess the alignment between the AFO and the model's foot by analysing the ankle moment during walking with/without the AFO with the self-aligning mechanism. For that, I wanted to use the Inverse Kinematics tool. I don't think I need the force...

Error caused by WeldConstraint
Hello, I have inserted an AFO on the gait model 2354 and defined the joint. To keep the AFO attached to the model, I defined WeldConstraints "Leg" (between the AFO cuff and the model's leg) and "Foot" (between the AFO foot and the model's foot). When the Foot constraint is enabled, the foot of the m...

Import *.STL files to gait_model
Hi,
I want to import the stl files of an AFO model ("afocuff.stl" and "afoplate.stl") into the gait2392_simbody.osim in order to attach it to the ankle of the model, but I am not being able to do this.
Can you help me?
Thanks a lot,
Catarina Enes
