Problems with Scaling
Dear OpenSim-Community, Thanks for all of your help so far. Right now we encounter problems with/during scaling. According to the OpenSim Webinar: Tips and Tricks for Data Collection, Scaling and Inverse Kinematics in OpenSim (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG7wzvQC6eU). We modelled the foot as a s...

Re: Predicting GRF
Dear Michael,
Thanks for the Link you provided about the contact modeling.
I downloaded it but having difficulties opening it because I am getting following error within the GUI
Maybe you can help me with that, that would be perfect.
Kind regards,
Markus

Re: How good are added DoFs?
Hej Ton, a really big thanks for the quick answer. So far we are not getting really big values for the moments. But I am still interested in your proposal of using only 1 DoF during IK and than still having 6 DoFs for the moments. It would be really great if you could give me a quick explanation on ...

How good are added DoFs?
Hej, First of all, i want to give a big shoutout to this really helpful community here. I added 2 rotational degrees of freedom to the knee (for knee adduction and tibia rotation relativ to the knee) as well as 2 rotational degrees of freedom to the ankle (to get the technical axes for flexion, ever...

Using Analyze Tool via Matlab
Hej, thanks for the great help in this forum. We are quite far with using OpenSim via Matlab but are now at the point where we want to use the AnalyzeTool. Everything works fine so far. We can assign a model, the analysisset we want to have and also the bodies we want to analyse (we just want to hav...

Re: Batch processing Inverse Dynamics through Matlab
Hej Ayman, Thanks a lot for your reply. 1. Okay, we were just worried that there is a problem, but if it is just an indication for us, than it is okay. One thing to add to that: we observed a file being written to our main_function folder. I'll attach it to this post. It is called externalforce_NewD...

Batch processing Inverse Dynamics through Matlab
Dear Forum-Users, Thanks for the help you provide us here :) We encouter quite some big problems batch processing Inverse Dynamics with Matlab. I'll try to explain what we are doing and also attach an example file for inverse dynamic setup and grf xml + Matlab command window output + the scaled mode...

Re: RMS errors of scaling for each Marker/Scaling 6 DoFs knee model
Hej Colin, Thanks for you reply. I have double checked the marker naming in the experimental as well as in the virtual marker data set. They both fit perfectly. I solved it by deleting the translational DoFs because rotational (ext-flex, add-abd, rot) is most important for us. But its still weird ge...

RMS errors of scaling for each Marker/Scaling 6 DoFs knee model
Dear OpenSim-Team, dear Forum-Users, First of all, I wanted to thank you for the nice work you are doing keeping OpenSim an open source product and putting so much effort in the development of this tool. A colleague and I are currently working on Batch processing through our data with Matlab. Everyt...
