Rajagopal's model - Patella Movement

Dear OpenSim experts, I am using the Rajagopal's model and I would like to have some info about the patella movement. I understand that the knee_angle_r/l_beta coordinate, which is the coordinate related to the movement of the patella, depends on the knee angle. If you run a IK analysis or you look ...

Re: Active Fiber Force when Activation set to 0

Hello Thomas, Thank you for your return. I'm interesting in getting the passive moment of the joint in function of the joint angle. For that, for the ankle, I plot the relation between the ankle moment and the ankle angle, after having select all the ankle muscles, and setting the activation overrid...

Rajagopal's Model - Joint Coordinate System

Dear OpenSim experts, Through my work, I would like to use the Rajagopal's model on OpenSim to compute, for example, muscle-tendon units lengths during movements (gait or stretches). For that purpose, I will have to use joint angles during the movement. We already have a MatLab code which can genera...

Re: Rajagopal's model bone geometry

Hi Sina,

I am sorry but I did not find any answer to this question.

Finally, I used the project shared by Mohammadreza, to which I added a function to rotate the wrapping surfaces. I can share this function with you, if you wish.

If so, I let you contact me.

Thanks in advance,

Regards

Re: Active Fiber Force when Activation set to 0

Dear OpenSim experts,

Since I have not get any answer, I take the liberty to re-post :

How do you explain that the active fiber-force of a muscle is not zero, after setting Activation override to 0 ?

Thanks in advance,

Regards

Active Fiber Force when Activation set to 0

Dear OpenSim experts, I am using the Rajagopal's model and I noticed that when I plot the active fiber-force of a muscle after setting Activation override to 0, I get a non-zero active fiber-force : 241674846_152267227091066_6106137179652424090_n.png How can you explain this observation ? Thanks in ...

Re: Scaling subject with Equinus

Hi John, Thanks for you answer. Indeed, I do use projected marker ont the floor to scale the foot. However, I have already tried to base my scaling procedure direclty on the anatomical markers of the foot, not the projected ones, and it seemed that I still had the same problem. I will give an other ...

Re: Scaling subject with Equinus

Hi, Thank you for your return. Hereinafter you will find a little example to answer to your question. In a subject with equinus only at the left side, the scaling result does not seem correct. That make me think that the scaling procedure is failing : For this subject, we recorded a static calibrati...

Scaling subject with Equinus

Dear OpenSim experts, Dealing with biomechanical data from subjects with cerebral palsy, some of whom present equinus, I have trouble to correctly scale my model for those subjects. Indeed, before any OpenSim workflow (IK, ID, and so on...), I have to scale my model to my subject. However, this proc...

Re: Adding muscles in Plot GUI (Mac, 4.2) seems non-functional

Hi Ross, It seems that you figured out how to solve your problem. Not using Mac 4.2, I would not have been helpful. But, I watched your video and you say that you're using a "modified version of the Rajagopal's model". Thus, I would like to know to what extent you have modified the original model. I...
