Human Model Interacting with My Model
So I've created a multibody model in Matlab. It's sort of like a walker. I would like to try to simulate one of the OpenSim human models (like the one in tutorials 1 and 3) walking with the walker. Is there a way to add the human model in my .m file, and is there a way to get the human to "hold" ont...

Re: OpenSim STL file Import
Thanks! I have something almost identical based on Ayman's response and some digging as well. Now I'm looking into the possibility of re-creating a simplified version of my model in Matlab so that the person can "interact" with it, but assigning the stl mesh as the geometry (like you did) so that it...

OpenSim STL file Import
Hello, I've spent a little bit of time now trying to familiarize myself with OpenSim 4.1 and doing a number of tutorials. My goal currently is that I would like to import an STL file that represents a mobility device, and I would like to simulate a person interacting with this device. I am currently...

Scripting in Python
I am using OpenSim 4.1 on my Windows 10 64 bit system. I am following the tutorial in https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:8443/display/OpenSim/Scripting+in+Python. I run the code in Anaconda Command Prompt, and receive this message: Installed c:\users\jess\anaconda3\lib\site-packages\opensim-4.1-p...

Modelling Wheels
Hello, I'm looking to model a walker-style mobility device to analyze the forces experienced by the user. This walker obviously has wheels. I'm wondering if it will be possible to model the wheels of the walker, and if not, can I get around it by altering the friction coefficients of the legs of the...

Re: Visualizer Window not responding
I decided to try "old faithful" and restart the program. The visualizer window is now responding with no issue. I'm working on an older PC, but it does have Windows 10.

Visualizer Window not responding
I am currently trying out tutorial 1 to familiarize myself with the interface before I attempt to start my own project. In the tutorial, they show that in the navigator window you can select "Show Only" on any of the muscles, and that you can use the Coordinates sliders to move components around. Wh...
