Hi,
May I ask where did you read that the sensors were kept on the ground prior to calculating sensor_to_opensim rotations?
Thanks

How to decalre new opensim declare property
Hello, I am trying to add a new sub node to inverse kinematic xml file and trying to add its property to IKTask.h file or a new version of the same. I am getting errors in Opensim_DECLARE_PROPERTY. How do I declare or add a new property(XML sub node) to the header files and define the get_value() fu...

Re: Determining IMU placer rotation values
Hello Carmichael, Thanks for your reply. Could you please explain in greater detail which coordinate system are we trying to match? Are we trying to match the imu sensor coordinates to that of opensim or are we just stating what the heading direction of the base imu is ? How does the east-north-up c...

Determining IMU placer rotation values
Hello, I am trying to determine how to put the rotation values into IMU placer. I am following the webinar on Opensense and have questions regarding the same. 1) When using preview sensor data option on placement_orientation.sto, the axes are very random. How was it calculated to rotate about -90 de...

Clamped and locked joints
Hello, I would like to understand how to determine which joints to lock and clamp based on the markers I have placed on the segment. I would also like to know whether this should be done just for the static trial or also for the dynamic trial. My goal is to just perform inverse kinematics I have col...

Re: IK marker weights
Hello Jake, Thanks for your reply. Yes, I played around with different marker weights ensuring markers which are less affected by soft tissues(heel, hip etc) are weighted more than thigh or shin, and calculated marker errors for each of them. With all the different configurations, I got that error of...

Re: IK marker weights
Hello Jake,
Happy new year. Sorry but could you further elucidate how to compare soft tissue artefacts without feeding it into a model?
Thanks,
Vignesh

Re: Output scale tool error
Sorry in addition, does it matter if the maximum error during scaling is for a marker which is not used for scaling but for tracking?
Thanks
Thanks

Output scale tool error
Hello,
Happy new year
Is there a way to get the maximum error of the scaling operation from python? I am running some batch processing code and would like to see if the scaling tool error falls within the recommended limits given in the tutorial.
Thanks
Vignesh

Re: IK marker weights
Hello Jacob, Thanks for your reply. Sorry but I have some follow up questions: 1) Regarding the weights, I am assuming weights which are less influenced by soft tissues should be greater than ones which would be more affected by the same. If I did not have a rigid cluster for thighs as the markertse...
