Difference between IKTask and InverseKinematicTool
Hello, I am trying to develop a code in Python to read multiple trc files, scale a model and calculate the inverse kinematic errors. In terms of scripting, what is the difference between IKTask, IKTaskSet and InverseKinematicSolver and Tool? Is IKTask and IKTaskSet applied for the inverse kinematic ...

Virtual Marker Locations
Hello, I would like to understand how the coordinates in the Scale markerset xml file are calculated? Especially for the markers used for scaling (L ASIS, R ASIS etc). For example would we have to manually change the x coordinte of the ASIS markers for people of different sizes or do the virtual mark...

Calculating gait metrics
Hello,
Hope you are doing well. Is there a way of calculating gait metrics such as stride length, step length etc from OpenSim after the IK process?
Thanks,
Vignesh

Scaling, Scale Marker Set and coordinates
Hello, Thank you for your support. I have three questions regarding the scaling pipeline. 1) Is there a way of automatically creating the scale markerSet file? If not, what do the coordinates on the Scale markerset(example Gait2345) provided by OpenSim relate to? How do we set the markers used for s...

Any help with the previous questions?
How to automatically create Scale Marker xml files based on .c3d data? I have not collected the data but using a publicly available data
Thanks,

Compare results of IK
Hello, Thank you for your support. I would like to know how to compare the results of IK of two different simulations? How do I interpret which tracker trajectory is worse or better? My goal is to study soft tissue artefacts and inverse kinematics( global optimisation method) is the current method t...

Questions regarding the paper
Hello, Thank you for the project. I have a question regarding the paper and project and would like to clarify it. In the paper, how are you accounting for soft tissue artefact caused by the subject itself? Or is the assumption that the Inverse kinematic process done prior to simulating a gait cycle ...

Re: Converting from c3d to trc without force plates
Hello Ayman,
Thank you for your reply. I have OpenSim version 4.2 and I installed it early this year. Would the changes have been implemented by then? Just for reference I get this error whenever I run c3dExport.m on any static file Thanks, and Regards

Converting from c3d to trc without force plates
Hello,
Sorry to disturb but I have gait data in both static and dynamic trials collected on a normal treadmill in .c3d format. There is no force plate data which is causing functions like c3dExport.m to crash when I try to convert it to .trc files. How do I go about this?
Thanks, and Regards
