Processing offline

Hello, The system works perfectly but it takes 5 min per subject for the static pose and the trial recording. I would like to record 20 subjects during squat and then do the processing after. I was wondering if it's possible to record static pose and videos from different ipads, synchronize them ext...

Crash of OpenSim 3.2 64 bits

Hi All, I installed the last version of OpenSim (OpenSim-3.2.0-win64VC10P.exe) on my PC (Windows 7 64 bits). When I tried to load a model (gait2354_simbody.osim), OpenSim crashed. I attached to this post the log file. When I tried to load a model in Matlab by using an example, I had this error : ???...

Moment Arm of quadriceps muscle

Hi All. I have a question about the estimation of moment-arm into OpenSim. I created two rectus femoris muscle, one is attached to the patella and the other is attached to the tibia. The motion of each muscle is almost the same. The muscle-tendon length according to the knee flexion angle is quasi-s...

Re: Torque-driven simulation

Hi Rudi, thanks for your reply. It works well for 0.05 s. However, I have tried to increase the duration of the simulation, and after 0.05, I had a large deviation. My problem is that 0.05s is too short to make forward dynamics during walking trial. Finally, the solution is to run the FD based on to...

Re: Torque-driven simulation

Hi Rudi,

the external load and kinematic are included in forces_grf.xml. It's not the problem.
I have tried a lot of different things.

Is it really possible to run Foward Dynamics based on Torque by using the GUI ? Do I need to develop my own code in API mode?

Thanks,

Pauline

Re: Torque-driven simulation

Hi Rudi,

Thanks for your reply.

I tried to run FD with "Replace model's force set", the simulation was crazy.
After that I removed the muscles in the osim file, the simulation was again crazy.

I don't know where is the problem.

Re: Torque-driven simulation

Hi Ayman, I have tried to run the Forward dynamics with the ground reaction forces, the Actuators, States and Controls from RRA, and it didn't work. I attached the setup file and all the input files that I used for the Forward dynamics. Could you tell me if I missed something ? Do I need to change t...

Re: Torque-driven simulation

Hi Rudi,

thanks for your reply. I've tried to drive Forward dynamics by using RRA outputs (3DgaitModel2354).

However, it didn't work, the simulation became crazy. I have no idea to solve my problem.
Any example ?
Thanks,

Cheers,

Pauline

Torque-driven simulation

Hi, I am trying to create a forward dynamics using only torque without muscles. It seems that it's possible by using the Forward Dynamics tool but I don't know how can I create the xml files containing the joint torque at each time. https://simtk.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=91&t=1295 Is it possible t...

Force-driven simulation

Hi everyone,

I want to drive a simulation by using muscle forces and not muscle excitation as input.

I was wondering if it's possible to prescribe muscle forces at each time directly by using the GUI interface with the forward dynamic tool.

Any answer or suggestion will be great.

Thanks,

Pauline
