Sinking Model / ground constraints
I am trying to analyze a full stance phase (initial contact to toe off) for my motion capture data, however the lab set up only has two consecutive force plates. When I run RRA, the model sinks below the ground at the end of the gait cycle and residuals increase dramatically (due to a lack of GRF da...

Analyzing a full over ground gait cycle with only two force plates
I want to analyze a full stance phase (initial contact to toe off) for my motion capture data, however the lab set up only has two consecutive force plates. When running the RRA in OpenSim, I can only solve for periods of single limb support or double limb support over both plates. Therefore, I eith...

Simulated Muscle Weakness
Hi everyone, I want to simulate hip flexor weakness during gait using Moco and I have marker data and EMG signals to use as input. I also have MVIC force production data from hip muscles. I am basing the feasibility of my design off of the OpenSim Moco publication, specifically the section "Tracking...

Re: Joint Reaction Analysis + Moco?
Thanks Nick,
Your response made me realize I was thinking about it wrong. I will be able to determine when the joint force is anteriorly directed on the acetabulum and that will be good enough for my application.

Re: Joint Reaction Analysis + Moco?
Hi Pasha, I am explicitly interested in the anterior hip JointReactions, and was wondering if I am able to define parent and child bodies to ensure that I am looking at just the anterior region and not the entire joint. I hope this is not a silly question. I am assuming it is possible but wanted to ...

Re: Joint Reaction Analysis + Moco?
Thank you Pasha, This is perfect. It will be a while until I am able to apply it to my data, but with this I can confidently defend my methods in my upcoming candidacy proposal. The thread on JointReactions was also insightful. Such a tangled web of a topic and a great conversation about it! Best, M...

Joint Reaction Analysis + Moco?
New Moco user here! I designing a study for my PhD and would love to use MocoTrack and MocoSolve to answer my questions. However, a key element of the hypotheses involves changing joint contact forces with altered muscle strengths. I cannot find any information on if I am able to compute something l...
