Re: MuscleMetabolicsProbe
It is model subject01_simbody_adjusted from the example files of project metabolics_run.

Re: MuscleMetabolicsProbe
I downloaded (one of the) models you used. Value 0.5 appeared to me. Also, when I analyze the same data, 0.5 produces the total metabolic power similar to data you reported (1 have not done detailed comparison), but value 1 does not. Maybe I have done something wrong, but that is what I got.

Re: MuscleMetabolicsProbe
Thank you Christopher - I have been able to set up the probe and run the analysis. However, I have one question. What is the muscle effort scaling factor? I have not seen a description of it, yet it has a huge impact on results. By default it is 1, but it seems to me that Uchida et al. (2016) used v...

MuscleMetabolicsProbe
Hello - I have been struggling with MuscleMetabolicsProbe for a few days. I set up the probe in the GUI, and only get the basal rate. I have no idea how to set up the probe so that muscles would be included in the analysis. Tutorial 'Simulation-Based Design to Reduce Metabolic Cost' does provide no ...

Re: CMC changes kinematics
Hello,
Yes, that is expected; CMC didn't find muscle forces that would exactly produce your experimental kinematics. However, you should modify tracking tasks and/or control constraints, and re-run CMC to get better tracking of the experimental kinematics.

Re: Torque in ground reaction data
Yuma, I don't give you any equation for calculating torque, since such an equation depenends on how forces and moments are defined in your force plate. I am positive that if your force plate even has sufficient output measures for torque, its manual also describes how to calculate torque with that s...

Re: Torque in ground reaction data
Hi Yuma,
Your force plate that you used to collect ground reaction force data should provide torque data as well - or you need to compute the torque data from moments, forces, and centers of pressure. That is, OpenSim does not calculate torque, you have to have it.
Hope this helps,
Rudi

Reference frame in IA
Hello,
In what reference frame are output results of the induced acceleration analysis expressed? It seems to me that it is not possible to change that reference frame.
Thanks,
Rudi

Re: RRA
In 2.2.1, RRA is in CMC.

Hi Dr. Allen,
T_y is free vertical torque about COP exerted to the model. T_x and T_z are usually zeros.
Regards,
Rudi
