material propoerties

In material properties we can change the parameter stiffness to customise ground properties. My question is this unit "stiffness" is "coefficient of restitution" ? If yes, then is there any chart to see to relate the data for hard and soft ground? If no, what is the unit of the "stiffness" parameter...

Custom Hunt Crossley sphere at feet contact

Hi, I am trying to create a model from H0914M, to include 5 Hunt Crossley sphere contact at the feet. I have been successful to do so by simply editing in VS-code. I am attaching it below. I added, rm_heel,rmm_h, and rmm_h as separate objects depending on location, and radius. The same changes have ...

Unrecognized function or variable 'Model'

Hi,
I am facing a problem where the Matlab is not recognising the Model keyword in Model('../Model/WalkerModelTerrain.osim');
I have earlier used this and it worked. However, right now it is not working. Any help on what might be the reason?

Re: Basic Doubts from a Beginner

Thanks a lot. One doubt, How many contact points are in the scone model(feet) when it is touching the ground throughout the simulation? Also, Is there any parameter where I can change the type of platform type?

Re: Basic Doubts from a Beginner

Thanks a lot. One more doubt though.
What parameter should I change to obtain data of any model walking/jumping for 60 sec in the real world? Also, What does the x-axis of the data represent in GRFs(others too)?

Basic Doubts from a Beginner

Hi, I have some doubts, I can not seem to find answers on my own, 1. I want to change specific parameters like the duration of the walk (not simulation). What parameter will increase the duration of GAIT (suppose for 2 minutes )? Will this make the optimisation take more time? In this case, Hyfydy w...

Re: Dynamic Walker Model initial walking parameters- model is not walking

Hi,
This is exactly where I am struck.
Where do I get the initial conditions ? Is there any template files available?
Please suggest.
Thanks

Dynamic Walker Model initial walking parameters- model is not walking

In Dynamic Walker Challenge, I have built the model step-by-step as shown in the tutorial. However, the model is not walking. It is falling behind. I have done forward simulation(0-2s) as shown, still the model is not walking. I have run the Designmainstarter.m script it is not walking. I think I ne...

Opensim is not working as it supposed to

Hi,
I am new to opensim. I downloaded and installed the .exe file. However, it does not shows any menu or anything. It only shows window and sub category of tools and output.
I have uninstalled and installed multiple times.
Please guide what I am doing wrong.
Thanks,
Mainak
