Hi Eileen,
There are people in the Marsden Lab doing this type of thing I believe. Let me try to find out more information about this.
Cheers,
Dave

Re: Simulation Not Running
I just tested on OSX and there is indeed a problem running svSolver. I will have a look.

Re: Simulation Not Running
Hi Sita,
You should only use a single processor when running svSolver on a laptop or a workstation, it was designed to run on a cluster and does not do what you think it should (i.e. run using multiple cores) on a laptop. I am going to open a GitHub Issue on this.

Dave

Re: System requirements
Hi Sita, I am surprised that SimVascular is taking 500 MB on start up, maybe differences in memory management on Mojave than High Sierra although I've not heard anything about this. The main thing though is that you can use SimVascular without overloading your system's resources. Keep an eye on the ...

Hello,
This works fine on Mac and Ubuntu, I will try to reproduce on Windows next.

Re: System requirements
Hi Sita,
You should be able to run SimVascular on your MacBook Air no problem. On my MacBook Pro (High Sierra) the Activity Monitor says that SimVascular is taking about 200MB of memory at start up. How are you getting the memory usage?
Cheers,
Dave

Re: Deformable wall divergence
Hi Ruiyi, It's better to try things out on a simple model, just to see if there is some problem related to your SimVascular installation. You should try to upgrade to Windows 10 if you can. I've created a GitHub Issue for the errors produced by svpre (https://github.com/SimVascular/svSolver/issues/3...

Re: Meshing a perfectly circular annulus
Hi Brennen, Exporting a model using NURB format is preferable, retains the intrinsic values of the geometry (e.g. curvature) and face boundaries, whereas STL just samples these. I've also seen some pretty bad STL files, very long triangles that cause meshing problems. The STL file you uploaded has 1...

Re: Deformable wall divergence
Hi Ruiyi, I followed the CylinderProject tutorial Example 3 from the SimVascular website and saw the same error messages that you did. However, the simulation did finish OK. I was wondering if you have tried to run the simulation for Example 3, if that finished OK? What OS are you running your simul...
