Re: about non-newtonian model

Hi Amirtaha, Some preliminary work has been done on adding a non-Newtonian model to svFSI. It might be possible that this will be added this year but there is currently no solid plan for this. There was recently a paper published discussing non-Newtonian models https://royalsocietypublishing.org/doi...

Re: Simvascular 2017&2018

Hello Dai, What version of SimVascular did you install? Was it SimVascular-2017-08-21? Make sure that all the SimVascular files from the 2018 version have been removed, I've heard that this can cause problems when re-installing on Windows. Could you please post the error messages you are getting? Ch...

Re: Simulation Not Running

Hi Susannah,

This is an old thread so I would like to understand what exactly the problem you are having is. Is SimVascualar working OK but svSolver is not? Are running one of the tutorials?

Cheers,
Dave

Re: Failed to finish creating data files

It might be a bit tricky for you to build svSolver on Windows. If you would like to do that then I can ask the Windows expert here how to do it.

Cheers,
Dave

Re: Failed to finish creating data files

Hi Amirtaha,

Happy New Year!

We have not released a new svSolver version, we will do that in a week or so.

If you need it sooner you could build svSolver from source. What OS are you running on?

Cheers,
Dave

Re: Something about the results

Hello Dai,

Unfortunately there is no documentation describing the metrics in the results files. I've create a GitHub issue for this, see https://github.com/SimVascular/SimVascular/issues/394.

Cheers,
Dave

Re: Healthy Pulmonary Case

Hello Dai, The HEALTHY PULMONARY case download currently only has imaging and path data that is useful. Here are the steps to view the image and path data. 1) Create a project From the menu bar select File->Create Sv Projec t 2) Load imaging data From the SV Data Manager panel right click on Images-...

Re: 4D Flow MRI inlet BC

Hi Luca, I believe that the Crimson software package (http://www.crimson.software/features.html#Patient_specific_flow_profiles) has this functionality, they just published a paper about the method they use (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/8572777). If you would rather use SimVascular for your m...

Re: Failed to finish creating data files

Hi Amirtaha,

There is a bug in the current release of the **svpre** program that causes it to crash when processing a boundary layer mesh ( see https://github.com/SimVascular/SimVascular/issues/377).

The next release of SimVascular, probably next week, will have a fix for this bug.

Cheers,
Dave

Re: Meshing a model with two separate parts

Hi Mohammad, I did some further tests with the meshing and there is no problem meshing STL files in general, it was that the STL file you provided had a very high resolution so the the mesher created very fine small tetrahedra for it. I am going to add a check box to the SimVascular Meshing Tool GUI...
