Outlet pressure greater than inlet pressure

Hello, I'm modeling pulmonary arteries and calculating power loss, and I noticed my power loss was negative for one steady simulation. Looking into the case further, it looks like the pressure at one of my outlets (on the left side) is greater than the pressure at the inlet (at the bottom). Pressure...

Re: pressure vs avg pressure

Thanks for your reply! I did search, but could not find an answer to my specific question about why some time points only have average_pressure but some have both pressure and average_pressure. Do you know why this is?

Re: pressure vs avg pressure

I have this same question - why do some of my time points have pressure and some of them only have average_pressure? Please let me know if you figure it out!

Extraneous faces when reading in model with extensions from VMTK

Hi, I have a model that I've created in SimVascular. I trim the ends in SimVascular, export it as a solid model to a .vtp file, and then add flow extensions in VMTK. When I read the new model with extensions back in to SimVascular and have SimVascular automatically identify the faces, there are a nu...

Re: Reslicing appears as large pixels

for anyone else experiencing this issue, I figured out that the reslice size was much smaller than it needed to be. I just adjusted the reslice size in the segmentation GUI until it looked appropriate. Again I'm not sure why this started happening when it wasn't happening before, but this did seem t...

Reslicing appears as large pixels

Hi, I'm working with the May 2023 distribution on windows. I am trying to segment an MRA and when I start making the path, the resliced images appear as huge, uninterpretable pixels (see attached images). I am not sure if this is an issue related to scaling, as I have not had the issue before when w...

Thanks so much! My preferences were already set to what you indicated, but I removed the spaces in my directories and it worked!

Best,

Beth

Re: Simulation job has failed with non-zero exit code 139.

Thanks Dave, I was able to upgrade to catalina today and the 3D solver ran fine. However, I'm now running into an issue with converting results. It seems like the program is looking in the wrong folder for the restart files, despite the fact that I've indicated the correct folder that contains the r...

Simulation job has failed with non-zero exit code 139.

Hello, I have previously successfully run the 3D tutorial simulation on my Windows machine, but am trying to use a mac now so that I can use FSI eventually as well. I am trying to run the aorta tutorial on a mac with os 10.13.6 and 8gb of ram, but when I try to run the solver, I get the following er...

Re: non-zero exit code 1073740791 when trying to run 1D demo simulation

Thank you Dave - I installed the 1D solver just last week, but it looks like my simvascular was installed in June 2022, so I will try to update that and see if things start to work.

Thank you!
