Hello,
I would like to know, where I can find who was the generic whole-body model in OpenSim based on? Age, high, weight, etc.

Re: Hyoid bone
H Pierre,
At our lab (laboratory of biomechanics, CTU in Prague, CZ) we are step by step getting the geometry of a whole body. Therefore, I was able to get this bone as well (even though I did not use it in the end).

Linear/Angular velocity (Analyzing Tool)
Hi, From the Analyze tool I run the BodyKinematics, and I am now wondering, what results I got. For example in the file with the suffix “velocity” is written “This file contains the kinematics (positions and orientations, velocities and angular velocities, or accelerations and angular accelerations)...

Re: ground force file
To my knowledge, you don’t have to create the xml file. You can do all the necessary steps through the GUI. For example for the static optimization in the “Actuators and External Loads” you tick the “External Loads” and then you can select the files with the external force, define where the force ac...

Re: Joint reaction with orthosis
Hi,
Was your problem solved? I have the same – the inverse kinematics and dynamics seem OK, but the static optimization doesn’t’t work. What was wrong in your case? The worst is that it worked once and now I don’t know what I have done differently

Results from IK - Generalized coordinates misunderstanding
Hi, I have maybe a silly question, but the results from the Inverse kinematics (IK) such as translations and rotations are related to the coordinate system, right? Not to the joint. I am asking because I somehow cannot connect the results when I plot them and the animation when I “animate” the resul...

Results of IK depends on the joint position
Hi, I have probably a silly question, but I want to be sure, that I understand the relationship right. I am right now working with the model of the mandible, so I will use this to describe my problem, but it should hold for every model. First of all, some relationship: origin of the coordinate syste...

Re: Inverse Kinematics
Hi,
Maybe one more comment here. The model is by default in meters, and if you have the coordinates in the .trc file in millimeters, and it is specified in the header, then it will be coupled with no problems.

Re: WeldConstraint problem
Hi, Thank you very much, it helped ;) ! It was such a small mistake – I didn’t included a name of the WeldConstraint, and therefore the “Constraints” under the Navigator window of the model were empty – I didn’t check that :(. So here is the part of the .osim model which works: <ConstraintSet name="...
