RE: forces in IK/ID?

<t>Hi Rahul-After IK, are you plotting something from the *_walk_ik.mot file? If so, the values you see are the joint coordinates/angles computed by IK. After ID, if you plot something from the *_force.sto file, you are plotting torques/moments. You are correct in your understanding that the muscle ...

CMC Changes in 1.8.1?

I was wondering if there were any changes to the way the CMC tool works in version 1.8.1. When I constrain a particular muscle activation in 1.8.1, CMC doesn't seem to respond to the constraint at all. It responded well in 1.5. Any ideas?

RE: vtk log + model error

<t>I wouldn't be concerned except this started happening when I tried to reproduce some data I produced yesterday. I made a copy of a folder and literally re-ran all the same files and got a different output, which should never happen. I diffed all the input files and they are exactly the same in ye...

vtk log + model error

<t>I am trying to open a generic model (Gait2392) that I have used many times before. I have not modified it. But suddenly today when I try to use this same file, I get the following: <br/> <br/> ERROR: In C:\eran\dev\VTK\Filtering\vtkDemandDrivenPipeline.cxx, line 710<br/> vtkStreamingDemandDrivenP...

IK w/coordinate data vs without

<t>I'm curious how many people run IK using joint coordinate data and how many use just marker data. <br/> <br/> When I use joint coordinate data w/marker data, everything tracks great. When I use JUST marker data, my IK output is off by as much as 7 or 8 degrees at times, no matter how I adjust wei...

Skewed Joint Angles Post-CMC

<t>After I run RRA, my states file contains results that appear valid. (The dorsi-plantarflexion simulated matched real values from lab). After I run CMC, however, this becomes extremely skewed and when plotted, simply looks like noise. However, the other values in my post-CMC states file(fiber leng...

Weight of Subject w/model

<t>I've been using the gait 2392 model, which seems to have a "default" weight of I think 75kg. I have noticed that when I scale subjects close in weight, everything turns out better. When I scale much lighter subjects(ie 28kg), things tend to be very messy. I thought this might be because the inert...

System Requirements

<t>I was wondering what kind of configuration/system setup people are using. Processor, hardware, etc.<br/> <br/> It takes me hours(2-4 hrs usually) to run one pass of CMC (and sometimes RRA). I can't imagine this is the case for everyone out there. Are there system requirements/configurations that ...

RE: New Models in Old Versions

<t>Yes. In version 1.5.5 (and older) if I locked a coordinate, I would get a message saying "Coordinate.setValue: WARN- coordinate subtalar_angle_l is locked. Unable to change its value." And you would get that message just once, and then Scale or IK or whatever task would proceed. Now, I'm getting ...

New Models in Old Versions

<t>I've found that when I scale a model in say version 1.8, I can't open it in version 1.5.5.<br/> I get a message saying "Model_SCALED.osim contains OpenSimDocument, expecting Model". (It does open up again in version 1.8, so it seems to be saving ok.)<br/> <br/> Is this intentional, or should I be...
