Re: Possibilities and Limitations of OpenSim
Hi Ayman, First of all, thanks for your reply. It helped to solve some doubts I had about the OpenSim tools. I cannot use them in my work, unfortunately. So, in order to prescribe a motion to my model and run a forward dynamic simulation through the API, should I use the PrescribedMotion constraint?...

Possibilities and Limitations of OpenSim
<t>Hi,

Recently I implemented a 'Leg and AFO Orthosis' model with the API application, and between the leg and the orthosis I applied a contact model: the Elastic Foundation Model.

I have also acquired some motion data, normal and pathological gait cycles, to study the contact ...

Inverse Dynamics
<t>Hi

I'm trying to run Inverse Dynamics on a simple .osim file I've created (a sphere falling to the ground and interacting with him through the elastic foundation model.When I try to run the inverse dynamic tool, I load the .mot file but an error apears saying:
Exception:
Erro...

Assign meshes with elastic foundation model
<t>Hi!
I'm using Elastic Foundation contact model to study the interaction between a leg and an orthosis, but i'm having problems to assing the respective meshes to the bodys.
Could it be because the meshes are too complicated?

I've tried to smooth and decimate the meshes with M...

RE: Implementig Hunt Crossley Contact Model
<t>Hi!

To create the geometrys to the Hunt Crossley model you have to do this:

First you creat an halfspace:

ContactHalfSpace floor(Vec3 location, Vec3 orientation, ground, "ground");
osimModel.updContactGeometrySet().append(&floor1);

Then y...

RE: Runtime Error
I did exactly what you told me and follow the pdf instructions and now, instead of giving me the error when trying to start, it simply closes the program. ![Neutral :|](./images/smilies/icon_neutral.gif)

RE: Runtime Error
I'm using windows vista and the version of OpenSim that I'm using is OpenSim2.2.1.
Do you think that still the problem can be solved by those changes?
Thank You
Joana
