Re: Repeatability of Forward Dynamic Simulations

I think its reasonable to expect differences using different machines precisely because the systems are highly non linear and unstable. Even a one bit difference in the state at any time will result in divergance for the rest of the simulation. This could be hardware dependant or operating system de...

Re: Matlab function undefined btk_animate_markers

Hi Liz, I'm not sure which example you're running but the one provided with the latest toolbox version (1.71) at https://simtk.org/project/xml/downloads.xml?group_id=341 does not contain that file. I've searched my computer and also couldn't find that file. I would suggest using the example provided...

Re: C3D Extraction Toolbox installation problem (Gait extrac

It could be a problem with having admin access to your toolbox location. You could try adding the path manually in Matlab: File -> Set Path. If you still can't add the path this way, then there is permissions problem and you will need to speak to your computer administrator.

Re: C3D Extraction Toolbox installation problem (Gait extrac

This error occurs because you are using a 64 bit version of Matlab. The c3dserver utility (which comes with the toolbox) does not work with a 64-bit version of Matlab. You will need to revert to the 32-bit version, which seems to fix the problem.

Re: Segment Acceleration

The segment power analysis is now available with the IndAccPI plugin. Note that you must use this plugin with version 2.4 (VC10) build of OpenSim.

Re: Expansion to Kistler (type 1 FP) and/or BTS

Hi Stefan, Although you cannot directly extract from a type 1 FP, if you have Vicon Nexus (or perhaps other software can also do it), is load the C3D file in and re-save it. Vicon Nexus also only deals with type 2 FP when it saves a C3D file, but if upon loading other FP types, will automatically co...

Re: Segment Acceleration

Hi Allison, I suppose in theory that if you know the induced acceleration of a joint and the location of the center-of-mass of the segment with respect to the joint, then you could find the induced acceleration of the segment. However, this is not currently implemented. In the next version (which I ...

RE: Force Plate Data

<t>Hi Cindy,<br/> <br/> Information on the different types of force plates can be found in the manual (section 4.2). If you don't have a type 2 force plate, you can't use the toolbox to extract GRFs. You can still however get the marker positions from the c3d file - simply use getMarkers.m to get th...

RE: The movie can't be played when OPT=2

<t>Hi Yi,<br/> <br/> I'm not quite sure what is going on there. This appears to be a Matlab/Windows issue, not a toolbox issue. I have not done any testing with Windows 7 so I can't provide much assistance there. I really only recommend the toolbox to be used under Windows XP(32 bit) and Matlab 2010...

RE: some questions (yi wang)

Hi Marta,

Perhaps you could send me your c3d file and loadlabels.m file that you are using (t.dorn@pgrad.unimelb.edu.au), and I'll take a quick look to see if I can identify your problem.
