Time range for RRA and CMC
Hello, I see in some published work that RRA and CMC are conducted by "cycle," i.e. 100% gait cycle where the start time is right contact (or left) and the end time is the next right contact (or left). This results in three RRA models with different COMs and masses for multiple cycles. What is the b...

Re: Thelen2003Muscle vs. Thelen2003Muscle_Deprecated
Thanks James. I understand from your post that Thelen2003Muscle is more recent than the Deprecated version. Someone advised me to use the deprecated version for a project (a project based on Sam Hamner's models), and now I am wondering why. In what case might you want to use an old version of the mu...

Thelen2003Muscle vs. Thelen2003Muscle_Deprecated
What is the difference between these two?
Why can't I find max_contraction_velocity in Thelen2003Muscle_Deprecated.
Thanks
John

Re: can't uncheck probe "isDisabled"
Additional info. I got the model to run with these changes: I changed 'true" to "false" in the 92 muscles in the probe objects here: <use_provided_muscle_mass>false</use_provided_muscle_mass> and for the 92 muscles I deleted the two lines <!--The user specified muscle mass (kg).--> <provided_muscle_...

can't uncheck probe "isDisabled"
Hello, I ran the addMetabolicProbes.py script and called the file metabolicsSlowTwitchRatios_Gait2392.txt This appears to add the probe with all the muscles. But I can't uncheck "isDisabled". I tried changing "true" to "false" via Notepad++, but OpenSim switches it back. I'm attaching the model. John

RRA Fly Swatter Blooper
FlySwat.png Hello, I am trying to run RRA on TIm Dorn's "Muscle function of overground running across a range of speeds" model and data. I tried both optimizers ipopt and cfsqp. The RRA tool either stalls without an error message, or produces the Fly Swatter blooper. My set up file is attached. I d...

Re: joint moments from ID versus RRA
Thank you James,
I had soome error in the setup; likely an incorrect file. I started over and got good results.
See my ID (red) vs RRA (blue) results for Right Hip Flexion.

John
