Re: Confusing with Joint Reaction Analysis
Hi Ayman! Thanks for all for inputs so far. I think I understand better now. But I have another question about Analyze Tool. Under "Actuators and External loads" pane, I wonder if I should append actuators "Gait2392_CMC_Actuators" to model's force set or should I replace model's force set with the a...

Re: Confusing with Joint Reaction Analysis
Hi Ayman, thanks for your reply. You mentioned that SO and CMC are solving different problems when obtaining muscle forces. I wonder which problems these two methods are solving respectively, in order to be able to apply one of them to my trials. My master thesis is about calculating hip contact for...

Re: Confusing with Joint Reaction Analysis
Hi again, in method 3) as I used static optimization in analyze tool, I got this error message "time = 1 Performance =197.352 Constraint violation = 6.10963e-010" and the error messages appear every step until the end of simulation time. I know this could depend on running simulation without a filte...

Re: Confusing with Joint Reaction Analysis
Hi, what I have understood that, I need a model, IK solution, external loads and residual actuators to run a static optimization analyze. But it seems that I don't need residual actuators because my trials are static (standing with different hip abduction angles). Because I have tried using with and...

Confusing with Joint Reaction Analysis
Hi Matt, Ayman and everyone, I try to use model Gait2392_Simbody to obtain hip joint reaction force (size and direction) using Joint Reaction Analysis. Before I ran Joint Reaction, I have run through scaling, IK, ID, RRA and CMC. When I ran Joint Reaction, I tried in 3 different ways, each of them g...

Re: CMC failed
Hi Ayman!
Thanks for your reply, but I got this small force warning through whole simulation time at each every step, are they still benign? If not how do I fix it?
I read about changing optimizer from ipopt to CFSQP. But OpenSim doesn't have CFSQP.
Thanks,
Zhen

Re: CMC failed
Hi,
I got another message which I don't know how to fix
“WARN- small force range for peri_r (0 to 0)”
Is there anyone who knows how to change this?
Thanks,
Zhen

Re: CMC failed
Hi Ayman, in the documentation it states: "If CMC is failing, try increasing the maximum excitation for reserves and residuals by orders of magnitude until the simulation runs, then try working your way back down while also "relaxing" tracking weights on coordinates." In which file can I change the ...

CMC failed
Hi!
Does anyone know what it means with this error message below?
"CMC.computeControls: t = 1
SimTK Exception thrown at InteriorPointOptimizer.cpp:261:
Optimizer failed: Ipopt: Restoration failed (status -2)
OPTIMIZATION FAILED..."
What should I change to make CMC work?
Thanks!
Zhen

Re: One extra external load
Hi Stephen, I got the same problem with RRA, when I run RRA using ik.mot from inverse kinematics, I got kinematics_q.sto from RRA which follows ik.mot, but state.sto became different. And this is after I change the weights in RRA Tasks file. You mentioned that I should increase muscle strength in th...
