RE: RRA failure

<t>Ayman,<br/> <br/> Thank you for the information. After I reviewed my setup files, I think that there are no error in the setup. However, the model doesn't track well at all. I've tried playing around with the kp and kv values, as well as the weights. However, I've so far been unable to have any s...

RRA failure

<t>Hi, I'm hoping some one can help me. I've been trying to run RRA on my model. However, it keeps failing on me. And if the analysis finishes, the output kinematics only have one or two states. I've tried everything I can think of. I've modified the kv, kp, weights, integration parameters, precisio...

RE: Model takes off during RRA

Is it ever a problem for the optimal forces to be too large for RRA?

Radians versus Degrees for motion files

<t>I currently working with a model that incorperates some automatic scaling. Several of the joints in the model are related to each other by some simple scaling factors. The model performs the scaling quite well. The probelem I'm having is that the motion file i'm using has the inputs to the coordi...

RE: Custom model.

<t>Samuel,<br/> <br/> I'm trying to further understand the joint definitions and coordinate systems. I've been looking through some different joints in different models. When the rotational degrees of freedom are specified, they are defined "r1," "r2," and "r3" with axes defined for each rotation. A...

RE: Custom model.

Sam,

Again, thank you for the information that you have given me. I probably don't understand the motion files very well, but how are the initial velocities and accelerations determined for the kinematic and dynamic calculations of a given simulation?

RE: Crash with model migrated to simbody eng.

<t>Sam,<br/> <br/> Thank you for the reply. Your response does answer my questions. Having constrained joints are very desirable for the model I'm trying to build. Although, for our initial work they are not absolutely nessisary. The ultimate goal of the model I'm trying to build is to explore the e...

RE: Crash with model migrated to simbody eng.

<t>Simon,<br/> <br/> That does help. Thank you.<br/> <br/> Related to my prevision question, is it possible to have multiple joints move with the same coordinate? For example, with the more complicated Simm version of the lower body models the patella and the tibia moved together with the knee joint...

RE: Crash with model migrated to simbody eng.

Hi Simon,

I'm also trying to build a model basically from scratch. How did you transform the model such that all rot2planar joint are in the xy plane?

SimbodyEngine vs. SimmKinematicsEngine

<t>I'm trying to create a full body simulation and I noticed that there are two different dynamics engines. In my model I am trying to include the patella. The gait2345 model does not include it, Sam Hemner's comments it out. Both of those models use the SimbodyEngine. The model named BothLegs, that...
