Re: Mesh with hexahedral elements

Hello Eber,

Sorry, we don't support hexahedral elements in our meshing tools or in the flow solver. There are no plans in the near future to support this. We do use tetrahedral meshing for boundary layers, and it seems to work fairly well so you could consider that.

Re: open data models?

Hi Randy, We have provided several free data sets from the repository as well as some additional sample data for SV in the sister project on simtk.org: https://simtk.org/frs/?group_id=930 The models in the vascular model repository are available for a nominal fee. Outside of SimVascular, Osirix prov...

Re: Cannot open Sim Vascular

Hello Ariel, I'm glad you resolved the problem. The SimVascular bundle installer attempts to install the MSVC 2013 run time libraries when you first install SimVascular. Did this not work or did you click "cancel" when prompted to install the MSVC 2013 run time libraries the time first time you inst...

Re: Windows 7 Simulation Error

Hello all, What version of Windows 7 are you running? We don't officially support Windows 7 anymore. However, I would guess it still works. When you installed svSolver, "Microsoft MPI 7.1.12437.25" should have been installed as well. Check the following: 1. Check your computer to make sure that Micr...

Re: Geometry is translated/mirrored when reopening project

Hello Charlotte, Is the data being mirrored or is it just translated and scaled well outside the image volume? Screen shots would help, but the only time I've seen the type of error you are describing is when: 1. You load the wrong image volume (somehow) for the model generated OR 2. There is a unit...

Re: Not designed to run on windows

Hello Diwas, I've never seen that error before. How long was the software working before you got the error message? I would try re-installing it and see if the error message happens again. What version of Windows 10 are you running? Home, Professional, 64-bit, release # etc.? Nathan SimVascular Deve...

Re: Cannot open Sim Vascular

Hello Ariel,

We are not aware of a problem with the Windows installer. I will check into this and post a reply once I have an update.

Re: error in create data files for simulation

Hello Luca, Is there a space in your outlet name ("out 1")? All the face tags must not contain spaces. I would also recommend using a working directory on Windows that does not contain spaces to avoid issues with filenames in general. Please rename the outlet, remesh, and try again. Re: Queries related to inflow file in SV

Hello Farah, I'm not sure I understand all of your questions. For some simulations, we use PC-MRI data if present. This is less common today since many of our models come from CT data. The old SimVascular GUI enabled the processing of 5X formatted GE PC-MRI data done with specific types of scans. Th...

Re: svPre not working.

Hello Taehak, It sounds like you have an error in your input files. Look for a log from svPre to see if there is any output. If the program crashes or if there is an error, then you will get some files without others. Hopefully the svpre log will help debug the problem. SimVascular Development Team
