Re: Classic DICOM vs Enhanced DICOM; failing to load in images to project

Hello Jack, You have two basic options: 1. As Dave suggested, find a DICOM reader that will write the single giant DICOM file into a series of 2-D slices. Perhaps Matlab's image toolkit supports this. 2. Find software that can create a VTK structured grid (i.e. .vti file) from the original DICOM fil...

Re: sudden close of SV2019-08.09 on Ubuntu18.04

Dear Surabhi, This is not a problem in SimVascular. The problem is in your guest OS. Your graphics card and OS must support OpenGL 3.2+. See the SV Wiki for a discussion on running using VirtualBox: https://github.com/SimVascular/SimVascular/wiki/user_virtual_machines You should be running the absol...

Re: installing Simvascular/svsolver on a linux server

Hello Parastou, The Make build issue was that your system doesn't have GLEW (since it's the server version of the OS). That isn't necessary to link VTK for the solver. I've deleted the unneeded libraries from the link line so svsolver hopefully now builds without error using the make build and the q...

Re: Install via BuildWithMake

Dear Haifeng, The error messages you were receiving were due to the precompiled binaries of VTK not being built with the -fPIC flag. The CMake build also failed on Ubuntu 18. As VTK 6.2 was too old to build on Ubuntu 18, I've upgraded svSolver to use VTK version 8.1.1 just like the core SimVascular ...

Re: SimVascular installation on Windows10 in Virtual Box

Dear Surabhi, The error message "... GLEW could not be initialized ..." means your OpenGL version is not properly supporting OpenGL 3.2. Are you using VirtualBox from Oracle? You mentioned something "Vistual Machine 5.2.18". If you mean VirtualBox, version 5.2.18 is way too old to run OpenGL 3.2 app...

Re: SimVascular installation on Windows10 in Virtual Box

Dear Surabhi, Running SimVascular on a Windows client in Virtual Box is possible, but requires special configuration since VirtualBox does not support OpenGL 3.2 natively. See the SV wiki: https://github.com/SimVascular/SimVascular/wiki/user_virtual_machines As Dave mentioned, you should have a desk...

Hi,

Please upgrade to the latest Windows release (August 9) as there is a fixed issue related to ML.

Re: Changing the time slider

Dear Justin, Unfortunately, the most common use case of SimVascular is a single volume. The MITK core the GUI is built on supports visualizing multiple time points, but I don't think the SimVascular internals will properly handle it. The only current work around would be to save the multiple time po...

Re: Coronary Artery Stenosis Case

Hello AP, Yes the headings and the images in vascularmodel.org correspond to the data. Each model also contains a PDF (also included in the table) with additional details. See the coronary models under: http://www.vascularmodel.com/sandbox/doku.php?id=repository_coronary Depending on your needs OSMS...

Re: Vascular Model Repository Registration

Dear AP, There is no longer a need to register for the website. That is, the registration requirement to view the PDFs was removed a while ago but I apparently didn't remove all references to it in the documentation. I have updated the documentation. As indicated on the website, you currently have t...
