Re: RRA failure

Anne, Have you tried running inverse dynamics? Do the values look reasonable for the motion you are studying? Inverse dynamics solutions can be a simple way to check if you GRF is being applied correctly without the confusion of RRA. If you have run inverse dynamics in V3D, do the results match thos...

Coordinate Filtering and Contraction Velocity

Hello, I am simulating a subject jumping and landing on one leg. I have completed though CMC with generally great results. I have two questions. 1. Should I be filtering my Raw 3D data or the Coordinates file? An inverse dynamics comparison shows that the general trends are the same but filtering th...

Re: high speed tracking errors

Ajay, thank you for your response. Decreasing the CMC look-ahead drastically improved my tracking errors for my high speed joints. My ankle pErr is now <.015 radians. Can you please explain what decreasing this window does? All i can find in the documentation is "A time window of 0.01 is generally s...

high speed tracking errors

Hello everyone, I am simulating a single leg jump landing using CMC. I am interested in extracting the quadriceps, hamstring and gastrocnemius muscle forces. I have ran scaling, IK, ID, RRA but am struggling with CMC, specifically the Perr and reserve actuator for the ankle. This makes sense because...

Re: CMC ankle tracking

Turns out the issue is solved by increasing KV and KP for ankle tracking. My guess is because this is a particularly fast motion when compared to normal walking and cant keep up with the current control settings.

CMC ankle tracking

Hello, I am attempting to model a person landing from a jump on one leg. I have reached, and ran CMC. The pError for the ankle on the landing foot is about 15 degrees. This seems to be a lower limit as I have tried a number of different simulations to reduce this error. I have tried increasing the a...
