RE: RRA for Non-gait motions
<t>Can I get the forces from Inverse Dynamics? I have the foot force and the only other force would be gravity and the force of the subject on the chair of the leg press.<br/> <br/> I believe Inverse Dynamics gives me a force on the pelvis to keep it in the correct location (basically stationary). I...

RRA for Non-gait motions
<t>I am simulating a leg press task. I am trying to get CMC to work but having a lot of issues. I was going to do RRA, but in the manual it says RRA is only intended for gait. Can I do RRA for my task (I do not have data for the forces on the seat, only from the foot)? If so, is that likely to help ...

RE: Changing kv and kp for CMC
I have been using the correct relationship between kv and kp (that you described using lambda). How do I determine what lambda to use? Do I just choose one that gives what I believe to be reasonable results? Is there a recommended range to stay within?
Thanks,
Mark

RE: fast target and slow target
There is a true/false value in the CMC Setup XML file. I don't have it in front of me, but I'm pretty sure if you search that file for "fast" (or possibly "slow") you'll find it. I think the default value is "true" which corresponds to fast.

Changing kv and kp for CMC
I'm getting different answers when I change the values of kv and kp. Does that make sense?
If so, does that mean I have to leave them at their kind of default values in order to obtain accurate results for CMC?
If not, what might I be doing wrong?

RE: CMC not tracking kinematics
<t>I meant "cannot get past" in my previous message.<br/> <br/> I am still at that point where I cannot get past multiple points, but I can run it for almost 2 seconds of my trial.<br/> <br/> However now I am not sure how much of the data to trust. In the tutorial it says not to trust the first 0.03...

RE: CMC not tracking kinematics
I changed the kv and kp values and that got me past a few of the stops, but there are still many which I can get past.

RE: CMC not tracking kinematics
<t>I finally got the kinematics to track by re-working a lot of things (started again from the example so I'm not sure which thing was wrong before).<br/> <br/> However now it is very picky about where it starts and stops. It regularly gives errors about not finding solutions at certain points that ...

RE: CMC not tracking kinematics
I should have noted that the model does move (ankles start rotating wildly and the legs flop and come in towards the body).

CMC not tracking kinematics
<t>I am working on a leg press simulation and cannot get the CMC to work properly. When I run the CMC it does not appear to be tracking the kinematics that I put in from the IK calculation. One possible reason is that I have the "Adjust kinematics" box checked, but it will not run if I do not have t...
