I am wondering if future releases of OpenSim will be coded to take advantage of GPU processing?
Thanks,
Eric

RE: jump simulation with opensim 2.2.0
<t>I am not sure how you would accomplish the force increases in the static optimization step, but I would recommend making the increases within the RRA actuators and control constrants files (chapters 19 and 20), or within the model with either the muscle editor (chapter 9) or directly in the .osim...

RE: jump simulation with opensim 2.2.0
<t>Bruno,<br/> <br/> The collapse is the lack of the muscles to attenuate the forces created at impact. Keep gradually increasing the muscle forces until your model stays intact. My advice is to start a new subject folder with all of the required files (CMC, RRA, IK, etc...) each time you adjust the...

RE: jump simulation with opensim 2.2.0
<t>Bruno,<br/> <br/> I have successfully modeled this and had quite a few errors initially. The first item to consider is the fact that the models within OpenSim are set for gait analysis. With this thought in mind realize that the force generating capability of the model may not be ample to account...

RE: Muscle Parameter Manipulation
<t>Mark,<br/> <br/> I am assuming that when you state that you are running the static optimization you are going all the way through the CMC. When you adjust the muscle and joint parameters are you only manipulating structural values (isometric force, lengths,...)? If so, your problem may lie in the...

Mac API version
Ayman,
Has the build for the Mac API version been removed completely? I was hoping to attempt its use with my working models to see if it will process faster than the windows GUI version.
Thanks
Eric

RE: OpenSim - Startup Error
If you have updated your Java through the Java update package, you will just need to add in (x86) to the Program Files so that it appears like this:
jdkhome="C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6"
That should take care of it.

RE: Visual 3D to OpenSim
<t>Erin,<br/> <br/> I have experienced the same problems when using the export function from Visual3D to OpenSim. To help solve your two problems:<br/> <br/> 1. Recheck your model in Visual 3D to make sure your foot is in the correct plane. It may appear correct within the Visual 3D model window, bu...
